IMO, Obama is the best candidate in a terrible field. If I could actually vote he'd win my ballot.

The Republican candidates suck this year, yes. No offense, but based on what I've seen from you, you would say this no matter WHO was running. Simply untrue, I live in a Republican town and have supported state house and senate candidates from the Republican party, and there are certainly issues that I agree more with Republicans on. The candidate field is horrific. Truth be told, my ideal candidate would've been Ross Perot. If only I wasn't 6 months old when he was running.

Damn Keeper, good call on Biden. I keep forgetting he is in the race. I've wanted him to have a legit shot since 2005 or so. Would be the best President of any of them IMHO. My ideal ticket would be Obama/Biden, no doubt, I don't think it could get better than that, though I'm not sure he's the type who'd swallow his pride and want to be a VP. Racism and ignorance is going to hurt Obama, no doubt, I've seen it first hand, but I feel like a great percentage of those people won't care enough to show up on election day.

My apologies then, you just seemed like the sort of person who would be a staunch democratic voter.

You've never been to the south. Then again, they won't matter at all because the south is solid red. The good ole "solid south" turned on its head. For my money, a Biden/Obama ticket is the ideal ticket. I will say this, if Biden does run with Obama, I will vote for Obama in the general election.

Nah, the Democrats are far from perfect, they need lots of help... though I love what Dean has done for the party.

America sucks. yeah I said what up bitches And Canada is any different.....how? Canada is further away from boring two-party politics than the United States. Still there, but closer to three-party, which I like more to be honest. Also, I liked both Kucinich and Biden. It's a shame that they never got near the credit Clinton, Edwards, and Obama got.

The more I hear of these guys, the more I wish Colbert were still in the running.

I honestly think that if Daily Show/Colbert Report were around, this campaign would have been effected.

I love watching Shepard Smith on Fox News. Some Romney spokeswoman just tried to spin the second place finish by saying that he beat three other viable candidates and Shep started cracking up.
Earlier today he admitted he wasn't going to caucus, he was going to watch the football game. At least he's honest.

God the candidates this year really suck, it's worse than it's ever been. Pick your poison. You have no idea if you think this is true... even the 04 campaign was tons crappier than this... it seemed as if 1/2 of america was picking the less or two evils, not voting for president.

I think Romney is the best Republican candidate. He would get my vote.

Totally. Would I not be the best candidate ever? I would totally grow a beard for my term just to make me that much more badass. Every Friday would be casual Friday, no matter what the situation. Also, a ball pit and a weekly piƱata would be standard protocol for every business, school, or any other un-fun place in America. Take that conformity!

I have a hard time comparing 2004 to now, because the GOP canidate was the incumbant. That only let's us compare the Democrats, and this time around it is much better than last time IMO. Seriously, Dean and Kerry? I think the biggest thing for people saying what Sportsbuck is saying is the fact that the GOP canidates don't have much going for them. You're looking at a GOP base that cares more about abortion and "queers" than anything else and that allows guys like Huckabee to maybe get the nomination. I tend to lean more towards voting GOP, because I like their economic policy better and that's the most important thing to me. When I look at this group though, I'm probably just going to end up voting for Obama.

I actually liked Huckabee because he's traditionally been relatively moderate and has a lot of reasonable policies... but in the last two months, his campaign has realized they are the only ones who can capitalize on the religious vote and they're trying to do so... so i'm turned off by him now.
After going to school in Boston, there is no way I'd consider Romney mainly because he's a douche. I don't respect people who can change philosophies/policies as easily as he can depending who he's talking to. Case in point, he was the grand marshal of a gay pride parade in Boston... now he's anti-gay marriage.
