Very different. I don't care about the high school guys that do it but I don't let it go to far. I was in high school once and know what they want. At 19 I'm kinda like playing Dad for a 16 year old because our Mom and Dad go to New Jersey a lot to train the horses up there. It's good for me though so when I do have kids, I know what it's all about. Also, for her age she looks the same age as me but she's only 16. would asking to see a pic be inapropriate? I read through expecting DB or someone to correct/answer this. Of all of the major state uni's (not U of ___, but ___ State U), Ohio State's is one of the very very few that is actually THE ohio state university. How many schools have "the" that predominant in the official logo. Therefore, when the whole reading off of the schools thing started becoming popular, the OSU kids would proudly state THE ohio state university... If you ever hear it for other schools or from other athletes, it's simply mocking the OSU grads. As others mentioned, I've never heard of THE Miami U or any of the others.... especially because that is not any of their legal names.  |

Also, Oregon State's abbreviation is OSU, so I think that if Ohio State wanted to distinguish itself from a pud team, they would want to put in THE OSU.
