That is the thing though, I think I have moved past the whole "league" thing. Honestly, a girl my age and in college has done what to set herself leaps and bounds above me? The only way I think you truly get hurt is if you really are into a girl who either has a serious boyfriend or who obviously has no interest in you.

If you go up with a girl with just the intentions to get to know the person she is, then you should be fine. If you go up to her thinking you are going to get with right then and there, you stand a great chance of getting hurt.

Break the cycle man. Just go up to that girl and go talk to her. If she talks with you cool, if not, punch her in the head. I used to have that social ladder idea in my head in high school, as soon as I got past it, everything just seemed better.

Honestly, do you want have a situation where you didn't go out with girl simply because more people know who she is? At least if you got turned down by that 'popular' girl, you gave it a shot. If your friends try and give you shit for being turned down, just remind them how you at least had the balls to try. When it comes to women, I think it is better to go out swinging then to not even step in the batters box.

Haha, I've been planting a lot of them for a while. Gotta get to watering them once in a while though, they need to grow.

I made that same reference with watering them to DB or bama. I've been trying to water one but the hose has been getting some clogs in it.

Depends on how you look at it.

I've known her essentially since birth, because our parents went to college together. We grew up in Ohio together, and were best friends there. Then, her dad got a job in Huntersville and moved to North Carolina. A month later, my dad got a job in Huntersville, and we moved here. We've still been best friends.

We've been through a ton of things that not many people can say they've been through, and we spend more time together than a lot of couples.

I wouldn't go as far to say I'm in love with her, like I said earlier.. but I'm damn close.

I think the trick for you is determining if that love you feel is a 'relationship' type of love or a love because you care for them because they are like family to you.

I can understand the situation. The thing is, you do love her. I'm guessing more in the way one loves a sister. It's easy to confuse the two, more so when you're sixteen and horny.

And FWIW.. more than sister. Definately the relationship kind. But I'll def. keep it on the down low like I have been. No need to wreck a 15 year long friendship.

You love her and want to bone her. Yeah, you're 15 so you want to bone just about every chick that isn't a water buffalo (don't think that's going to change either). Due to the fact you grew up so close, it's natural to feel those feelings. Proximity breeds that kind of thing.

I saw a movie like that once. Guy liked this girl since they were little but never had the stones to tell her. Finally did and worked out good. That is the movies though and that was me planting a seed.

Sadly yes. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the best movie I have seen. Honestly, you can score points by watching it with a chick and later referencing it with a complete different chick. Sometimes you just have to keep up on that stuff. The Notebook is a prime example of that. You can name some stuff from that movie and you are pretty good. I guess it all comes down to your personal tactics.
