Bama, you do know that to be a doctor you'll need to be able to spell, right? (Not to mention be correct in predictions!) ;D 3/4 with the playoffs this weekend thank you. Oh and I didn't notice any glaring spelling errors in my last post. I have a tendency to have typos from typing up something really quick and not spell checking. Probably what happened there. Ask anyone, my grammar and spelling have gotten so much better than when I started here. Oh and thanks Keepsy.

So here's a question. Is anyone else's favorite drink straight wiskey? I can't be alone in that. double jack shooters make you a man. Seriously whenever I go to the bar and order a few of those people around stare in amazement as I down them in rapid succession. IDK JD never bothers me much.

Not that I have a ton of bar options (the whole 21 thing in America), but my traditional drink is about 4 shots worth of whiskey (I'm pissed I mis-spelled that in the first post) in a cup and just enjoy. It hits you strong, but it is a rather sweet liquor IMO. Lots of subtle flavors involved, thanks to being aged in a wood barrel. All those wood sugars do wonders. A friend of mine got a hold of some Johnny Walker one night. First thing I'm going to buy when I turn 21.

That is one reason I love Canada - the whole drinking age thing. I just dont get you're guys' policy. You can vote, drive, and what not but you can't drink. It's stupid.
Yeah I usually start the night with Double Jacks and Jag shots followed by Rum and Cokes and Vodka Sevs. And I am of the opinion that you should not drink Beer to get drunk only when relaxing and hangin out.
In terms of pot honestly as long as you dont be dumb (like working high and/or driving high) I have no problem with it. In fact in some cases I would rather people toke up then get drunk cause honestly have you ever met an angry pot-smoker? On the other hand drinking can lead to severe anger issues.

Yeah, the drinking age thing is a little screwy here. In the south we still have what are called "blue laws." Like in Livingston Parish you can't buy alcohol on Sundays and in East Baton Rouge you can't buy alcohol until after like 1 or 2 on Sundays. It's such a taboo, it's why we have so many 16-18 year old alcoholics. I'm not huge on getting really drunk, don't really enjoy it after a certain point. So I normally just down my 4-5 shots worth of Jack Daniels and finish up with a Jack and Coke. You know, feel good, but aware of most everything that's going on. That and the hangovers are never that bad. Might be the bottle of water I try to get in before I go to sleep. Last time I didn't do that, had a horrible hangover and had to drive from Memphis to Baton Rouge. Never again.

well being 300+ lbs has its advantages. I have a glistening 28-0 record in drinking games. Alchohol just doesn't affect me. I downed a 2-6 of Cap Mo's in like an hour and I didn't puke, pass out, and I wasn't that hung over.

Not a bad thing really though, end up saving me some cash.

LOL I can see this thread turning into a DC Woodstock. Yeah, that would require acid, rampant nudity, and good music.

you shut your dirty whorish mouth sportsbuck and you would expect it take alot of $ for me to get drunk but I am the king of getting free shit. First DO NOT TIP at the bar its set up there so that you hope the hot bartender will bang you if you put in a 5. I have never tipped a bartender unless I am friends with them. Second host the pre-drinking party (a little hard for me living with my parents) or at least help coordinate it. Then although it sounds really gay steal your friends booze. Not alot, mix a drink or have a shot on them and if you get caught simply shrug and say "I was just pouring you a drink asshole". It'll make them feel like shit despite your evil intentions. Third go hard or go home. If your not willing to drink alot in a short amount of time dont even bother you'll just end up spending alot of dough. Usually what I do is go hard for 30-45 min then chill the rest of the night with a few drinks. Lastly take advantage of the cheap nights. This goes hand in hand with #3 as most cheap times are for an hour or two. Follow those steps and you'll save major dough. Of course most of these you wont be able to do for a few years with the whole 21 drinking limit thing.

I drink at a frat house on Fridays and Saturdays, I get hammered. I love it. Miller High Life is the best drink, ever.

I officially hate you for saying Miller is the best. It isn't even in in the same league as a good beer let alone a drink.
Seriously Canadian Beers are 100X better than American beers.

I disagree about the tipping thing, but I have a standard. There is one bar that I can get into and get drinks at up at school. When I order, it's generally something simple like a bourbon with a splash of water. If the bartender gets it right, I have no problem tipper him or her a couple of bucks. If not, no tip. You never think the bartender will bone you if you tip her, you tip if they get your drink right or tend to be generous on the pour. That's my philosophy on that.
Oh and pre-gaming is always fun.
*Edit: I disagree cooljay. A good American micro-brew rivals any decent European brew. You have to avoid the Millers, Buds, and Coors though, that shit is just water. I mean, I'm living on a budget and when I do drink beer, it's going to be some cheap stuff. Doesn't mean I would drink it if I had the bankroll.

never had the micro-brew so I have no idea but if you have a Molson Canadian or a Kokanee you would understand how much better Canadian beers are.
