I've had a Facebook for a couple months now after finally caving into these silly online friend sites. I'm not on it 24 hours a day and my page isn't completely covered with stupid applications (although I have a few like a Colbert one, the graffitti jawn, and a couple more). My question is, may I keep my man card for having a Facebook? By my standards, you undoubtedly get your man card taken away upon making a MySpace, but after realizing that I don't have to have a stupid page layout and put annoying death metal songs that nobody can turn off, I'm beginning to think it's acceptable to have one. Sol I'll ask the members of DC, the manliest of all men, if you'll revoke my man card or not...

If I somehow still have a man card, you having a Facebook account should be a non-issue. I also have a Facebook account, but don't have dressed up like a stupid spoiled whore. I think it is great to keep in contact with friends who go to school in many different areas.

See, I think it should result in man-card loss. I think Facebook has turned into Myspace Jr. and is therefore the same. I thoroughly boycot both.

I find myspace and facebook to be good ways to find old friends or network through people. I don't think it has anything to do with a loss of a man-card because the fact is that if you use to correctly and smart its a very good way to keep in touch with people. If you are smart with a myspace and don't add every band or myspace whore and control the annoying shit out then its fine.

I have facebook to arrange dates with girls I don't know. Is this going to be a lifelong hobby? It will get a little weird after a few years.

Is this going to be a lifelong hobby? It will get a little weird after a few years. Doesn't have to be. Point there. The only thing you have to watch for is the Chris Hansen powers of persuasion. I think that guy could talk me into sex with him.
