Actually, Miami has a lot of spanish people that talk great english. There are a good number in Hialeah that know none. But areas like Ft. Lauderdale and Star Island, it's mostley Americans and money. I'm in the Ft. Lauderdale area and they are very few spanish people that live around me.
But, when I'm contacting a excellent jockey that just came from Peru and $50,000 is on the line, I'm going to need some sort of spanish to tell him what to do with the horse during the race. About 50% of the jockeys came from a different country and out of that 50%, I'd say about 80% know english
I found this...this is my area code.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301 Population - 11,996 White Population - 7,035 Black Population - 4,551 Hispanic Population - 848 Households - 6,689 Persons Per Household - 2.38 Income Per Household - $80,706 Average House Value - $330,900 Telephone Area Code(s) - 786/954/305
