So lately I've been into a little game I have that's an election simulator where you can take any candidate this year and campaign with them through the primaries all the way to election day. It's actually quite addictive for me, and I wanted to put it out there that I could do a little something on the forums, an election play-by-play of sorts, from the primaries through.....as long as my candidate lasts. I'll let you pick the candidate (although I have veto power, I refuse to run as Hillary OR Duncan Hunter....in the former I don't want it to be too easy, plus I hate her, and in the latter I actually would like to have a chance at the nomination.) So if you would be at all interested, post a little something here. A sample of the game: (Damn right I beat Hillary with Mike Huckabee, bow to me)

For people that like you, or for people that ARE like you? The first one. Although the title was mainly just a ploy to get you to read this.

Ahahahahha, I have been playing this game non-stop the past few days.
My highlights: - Playing as Michael Bloomberg and capturing 4 states, enough to deter either big party from winning the nomination. - Playing as Fred Thompson, going bankrupt, and still winning the Republican nomination. - Playing as Howard Dean in 2004, winning the most ridiculous primary ever (I took Kerry out, and activated everyone else: hell ensued. Lieberman, Edwards, Sharpton, Clark, Gebhardt and myself all won multiple states. While almost all gave their delegates to Gebhardt, I got Sharpton (who won CALIFORNIA, amongst others) to join my side, giving me the victory.
However, I have yet to win a general election (see also: give me some advice)
Try as Mitt Romney, I haven't ever seen him do well in this game.

This is weird that you did this though, I almost made a thread about this. Today I did Obama vs. Huckabee, Paul, and Nader. I grabbed like 55% of the popular vote, and still lost the election by a fair amount of votes. I have no idea why I'm so bad at the general election.

Also, word of caution about Obama: It is INCREDIBLY hard to beat Hillary in the damn primaries, I hate playing the 2008 Democratic primary. I have tried just about every strategy, and almost always come up short.

Keeper, serious about Romney? I can steamroll everyone in the primaries with him, and even against him, if he wins Iowa and New Hampshire, it's over, you have no chance, as I'm learning right now as Rudy Giuliani....
There's a custom scenario someone made on the forums over there that adds a bit of realism.....MUCH easier to win with Obama (I've done it multiple times now, but it always turns into a delegate battle) but sometimes it's a bit extreme - momentum goes off the charts. I can email it to ya if you want.

Serious? McCain or Giuliani always run the table for me. I've done Republican primaries twice, on top of the countless times I've done the democratic ones, and he's never been the nominee. In fact, when I was Thompson, he won Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada, and still got shut out elsewhere.
Giuliani always does well in my game, he starts off with a great base, as long as you campaign in Iowa and New Hampshire, I'd imagine it's an easy win. Maybe try Sam Brownback? I've had him put up a decent showing before.

I'm still trying to figure out how I can give Bloomberg enough money and resources to be competitive, that's my ultimate goal.

I ran as myself in the Democratic primary, and chose stupid stances on every single issue. Far-Left on Iraq, and Far-Right on Iran. It was amusing.
