Yeah if you don't know, universal health care basically means free health care for every citizen (except for special treatments). So if you saw off your fingers a hospital will reattach them for free not charge you tens of thounsands for each finger. I love the health care system in Canada and while I admit it has it's flaws it is in my opinion a far superior system.

sure it's technically it's not free but it is sure as hell alot cheaper than what you guys have got going if you are without health insurance (or you're douche bag insurance company denies neccesary treatment)
seriously get informed on facts before you argue stupid points, our taxes are prob not that much higher than yours are and we get a health care system that doesn't kick us to the curb if we can't afford treatment.

Basically you force people with money to pay for everyone instead of people paying for themselves. Good if youre a bum but not if have direction in life.

We pay for what, exactly? A war no one wants? A lack of movement towards an alternative fuel source? What exactly is it that we're paying for that's valuable?

You do know that there are countries in Africa, South America, Asia, and Europe correct? Or do you think everyone is as smart as you, because then I could see where you are coming from.

I didn't say the dumbest, I said one of. The fact that severely underfunded countries test better than we do should be all the proof you need. Oh, but you'd have to accurately read my statement to gather that. Perhaps if we put more tax dollars towards our educational system instead of funding a war that isn't needed, we wouldn't have such piss poor test scores.

One of the dumbest countries in the world. There are what, 200 something countries in the world? What do you consider "one of" the dumbest? Bottom 10 percent? Bottom half? Bottom 90 percent? www.sq.4mg.com/NationIQ.htmEighty selected countries listed by average IQ. US not "one of the worst." Countries I can name off the top of my head less educated than the US: All of south america, all of africa, all of the caribbean, most of eastern europe, most of asia. Please, tell me all of these countries that are smarter than the US and show me the high test scores. And dont forget that we have to let everyone go to school and take these tests, unlike places like china where the worthless people just work the rice fields. Fun fact: Number of terrorist attacks on the United States since we entered the stupid, worthless war: NONE.

While correct on the terrorist attacks part, it should be NONE with the way we handle our national security these days. The war has nothing to do with that. Homeland security is what keeps our country safe, not sending soldiers to fight a war we don't need to be fighting. We freed them from the all-evil Sadaam, we should be out and letting them build their own government. But it'll be nice to see you defend that seeing as how you argue with anyone about anything.
And you're ignorant or blind if you don't realize that test scores are steadily on the decline and we are becoming dumber and dumber. But again, defend that one because you will because you enjoy arguing.
Question: when did you become such a bitter dick?

Maybe the reason america is becoming dumber is because people expect everything to be handed to them so they refuse to learn anything or work for anything. Seriously though, to say the US is one of the dumbest countries in the world is ridiculous. US is top 5 percent, right with the socialist European countries.
And if US soldiers left now Iraq would shoot straight into a civil war and any chance at democracy in the near future would be gone.

Fun fact: Number of terrorist attacks on the United States since we entered the stupid, worthless war: NONE. This is an absolutely terrible point. Polling amongst Muslims show that a huge chunk of them believe that US foreign policy is attempting to undermine or defeat Islam. We have become our own inciter of hatred, murdering innocent Iraqis and continuing to prop up the terrorist state of Israel. This drives more Muslims to Al-Qaeda. Osama bin Laden is a hideous shadow of a human being, but his plan is brilliant and has worked with little ruffles (al-Zarqawi's failures in Iraq stand out). Attack America, watch the United State topple a secular government whose absence will allow for fundamentalism to thrive in the area. Meanwhile, the United States is forced to stretch itself so thin that we are bleeding to death. All this while, Al-Qaeda has been able to regroup. They've already allowed for economic devastation, and our inability to deal with the group will continue to lead us across the Muslim world, as we engage in further endevours, hopelessly thinking that it will be any way to put an end to this. If our economy hasn't already collapsed by this point, it would take another attack inside the states, or an attack on an oil site, likely in Egypt, and then we'd be forced to act again. Our action in Iraq has, in no imaginable way, made this country safer from terrorists.

And if US soldiers left now Iraq would shoot straight into a civil war and any chance at democracy in the near future would be gone. As bad as this sounds, who cares? Our country has huge issues of it's own that need dealing with. We shouldn't be taking care of other countries when we're in decline. Not to mention the billions of dollars we're spending to keep forces in Iraq. It's stupid to put our problems on the back burner in favor of helping another nation when we have our plate full as it is.
