So I'm in a pickle

Okay so I'm really lost as to what I'm going to do in this situation. Its a bit of a long story so bear with me.

My and I bunch of my friends from school decided to go to a pub to watch the oilers game last night. We do this from time to time and we wanted to do it one last time this season. So about halfway through the game I notice this girl I know from school. I had been eying her up for a while now. She's not so much hot just really cute. I don't know why but I always kinda liked her. So with a few beers in me (which I was regretting all day at school) I decided to talk to her. We talked for a while about school, how much the oilers suck, etc. She seemed very receptive to my "advances".

So long after my friends had left I was still there chatting. Seriously I dont know how but we talked for like 2 hours we had a serious connection going on. So anyway, to my extreme suprise, because she didn't even have a drink all night (lets face it I'm not the type of guy sober girls go for), she says "do you want to go back to my place." In my mind I said f**k yeah! Shazam!, but I replied with a simple "sure". We went back to her place and well... you know. I left for school the next morning, after leaving a note on her nightstand.

All day at school I was thinking about her (and my hangover). I mean I have never felt this way about a girl I picked up at the bar. I way actually ask her out for real. But just as I thought my day was perfect another of my friends (he wasn't at the bar) comes up behind me and says, "Hey Jay I want you to meet my fiance, Samantha." I turn my head around to be greeted by, you guess it, the cute girl from the bar. I was stunned I didn't know what to say. I pretty sure that my shock was written all over my face. I said "Hey Samantha nice to meet you but I can't stay I gotta go... do... something." I got the f outta there cause I pretty sure he could tell what was up.

So now my question what the F do I do now? I can't tell him she cheated on him because then I'll have to tell him how I know. But then there's also the fact that I really like this girl and I honestly don't think they're right for each other. But he is also a really good friend of mine since high school and I don't want to f that up. I can only see two ways this can end if I tell him:

1. I tell him she cheated but don't tell him it was me. But then he'll find out it was me after I start dating her. (cause I really want to)
2. I tell him it was me and then everyone will hate me for breaking them up especially if we start going out.

So what the f am I gonna do?

I knew he was engaged and I just hadn't met her yet. And they only got engaged like 2 weeks ago. Plus judging by the look on her face when he "introduced" us it is not a joke.

If it's real, someone should break them up regardless and you're in a pretty good position to do that but this sounds way too close to a joke but who knows, I guess.

And how much worse is it when his friend finds out? At least now he can say he didn't know that that was his fiance and it won't look like he totally schemed on his friend's chick or something. Waiting it out and get caught rather than fessing up is way worse in my opinion.

I just think it would make him look SUPER bad if he actively tried to break them up, as he stated. Maybe telling his friend is the best idea, but like I said, I don't think trying to break them up is the way to go. And honestly, it looks even worse if you break them up then start dating her.

yeah I still have no idea what I'm gonna do. But I'm starting realize that maybe this girl isn't worth it. I mean we've been friends for a long time and I dont want to F that up. Besides she already cheated on him and he is prob the sweetest guy in the world (Have you ever looked into his eyes? It was like the first time I heard the Beatles). I just don't know if she is worth Fing up our friendship. I mean I barely know the girl and honestly I'm not sure if my feelings for her are just stemming from the fact that I can't be with her or if I genuinely like her.

Oh and I have since confirmed its not a joke because I checked with some friends (didn't give them any details of course) and they are actually together. Man this is crazy my life is turning into a bad Meg Ryan movie (or maybe an episode of Red Shoes Diaries)

See, I think this is a no brainer. This is a girl you don't know at all who you have some minor feelings for. You easily take the long time friend in this instance. Let him know what a slutbag he's dating, but take the friend.
