I've been out of the video game loop for 3 years now and I'm going to start playing a little more. Which is better? My cousin has a 360 and I fell in love with it when I visited him over the weekend. I was going to go and buy one right away but then figured I'd ask around...which one is better?

If you have friends over a lot, enjoy listening to tunes and playing, then go with a Wii. It is simple, but it is some of the best fun I've had with a video game system. At least the most fun I've had since N64.
Just some personal perspective. I guess if you are just going on a super casual level, like I am now, go with a Wii. I haven't played the PS3 or 360 a lot. I guess I would choose the 360 because of Halo though. I hear great things about that game.

I have not even considered a Wii but I will look into that as well. I don't get much time to play, only on Monday and Tuesday nights right now and those two days will change soon.

360 is definitely the way to go now.
But the experts seem to think that the ps3 will be better in the long run. If your not a big Halo player, PS3 may be the way to go. Free online I think, while XBL costs 60 for 12 months.
But then again, XBL you can download game demos and that kind of thing.
If you like MLB games, PS3 is the way. MLB the show kicks ass. And GTA IV is on both ps3 and 360.

The wii is fantastic for friends/family, but is horrible for serious gaming. My wii is only turned on if there is more than one person playing it. That said, Super Mario Galaxy is amazing. I just bought the component cables for my wii this weekend and it is a HUGE upgrade too.
The 360 is still my "serious" gaming platform... not that I think I'm a pro gamer or anything, but I think all of y'all know what I mean. As a side note, I switched from component to VGA cables for the 360 this weekend too.... holy crap what an upgrade. I had no idea. Just an fyi for all of y'all - I bought the wii components, 360 vga, a wii charging station and 4 sets of wiimote covers, all for $35 at monoprice.com - the greatest website in the world for cords and stuff when you get a home theater.
I kinda want a PS3 but ONLY for the blu-ray player, not so much the gaming.

I say if you like Halo go with the 360... otherwise in the long run the PS3 will probably overcome. It's well on its way. I had a 360 for awhile and it gave me shit so I went and got a PS3. I love it... remember why I always have been a Sony boy.
Although the game selection isn't that of the 360. It still has the big name games that are on the 360 excluding Halo... however it will have some of it's own big name games coming out soon... Final Fantasy, Killzone... and I'm not sure if Metal Gear is still exclusive... I can't wait for that one.
So I personally say... unless you love Halo, then go with the PS3... but I'm biased.

I say go with a 360, only problem is they break a fucking lot, mine has already 3 times but luckily on all 360's there is a free warranty that comes with the purchase.

Definitely go with the 360. Much better in terms of games available and online play.

In terms, I probably would rank it 360, Ps3, Wii right now. I've had all 3 (now have a Ps3 and Wii) and really, I want my 360 back. Achievements make games way more enjoyable.

The 360 has some great games out right now but im sure the PS3 will grow much stronger once companys take advantage of it's power.
The Wii is fun if you play with friends or family. Anyone can play the Wii (my 5 year old brother loves the thing). Not to mention Super Smash Bros is one helluva a game.

Developers are saying the Ps3 is hard to work with, or something like that. I work at two GameStops, one of the managers is married to a developer or something like that. I dunno.

I think I'm just going to buy the 3 of them and then sell the 2 that I don't want. My Brother lives with me and goes to FIU and sometimes has partys and one time a friend of his brought his Wii over and everyone had fun with that so it might not be a bad idea to keep that around with a 360 or PS3.

Smash doggies is sick on Wii. I ran show in that today. Being Kirby is like cheating, but whatever.
