www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfLBrWXc5QII kept forgetting to post and ask your opinions. Do you think that it was disrespectful of fans in attendance at Nationals Park, to boo George W. Bush? I am on the side of yes it was disrespectful. Now, I know people are entitled to their opinions. But cmon, this is the man leading our country. Not exactly the easiest job in the world. Many people would have done the same thing had they been in his position. When more than half the country is pressuring you to go to war and attack the SOB's that attacked us on 9/11, you pretty much do it. So, regardless of whether you agree with him or not, do you think it is disrespectful to boo?

Nope.....There are some that hate Bush and some that like him. People have the right to boo someone they hate.
Hell, at tyhe Rays opener last night, Florida governor Charlie Crist got booed on the ceremonial opening pitch lol.

I just think that someone of that prestige in our country should be shown respect. Whether it's a democrat, republican, or Ralph Nader.

you just don't boo him...I understand that most people don't like him anymore but you still have to respect him as the leader of the best country in the world.

Very disrespectful but I'm kinda sick of the whole "he had to go to war thing". I think what YOU and a lot of people is this...Iraq didn't do it. We spent five minutes looking for Osama.

it didnt seem like the whole crowd was booing, there was a good mix of reaction
Of course its disrespectful, but people still have the right to do it. Wouldnt bother me.
Dumbest thing in that video was I heard they first wanted him to wear a Braves jersey out there? wtf

Let's cheer for someone doing a crappy job. Should we not be critical of the person holding the most important job in the country? If they were booing a nurse, doctor, fire fighter, police officer, etc., I would think it was bad. However, I just don't find this wrong at all.

Disrespectful but they have a right.
Although I don't think a baseball stadium is the right place for politics.

Respect is earned, not given. The man that is leading where you live hasn't earned your respect? We have a different definition of leader, clearly.

As for the actual poll, it is disrespectful, but not wrong.

It was a poorly put poll question. There's no doubt that booing is disrespectful, the question should be whether or not it was acceptable in that situation.

I don't think anyone here can argue that it was respectful....

It wasn't repsectful, obviously.
But this is why America is such a great country. You have the RIGHT to do this.
You dont have to worry about getting shot outside your home by secret service the next day.

The idea of something being "respectful" or "disrespectful" in this situation has no real bearing, everyone is well within their rights to boo and it's certainly what we'll be doing if he ever dares visit this state (It is pretty sad that in 8 years he has not been here once).
