****************************** January 1st, 2007 ******************************HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! And we're in the playoffs btw, got a sweet, simple win over now 3-13 Philly, haha Eagles fans! What an exciting time, rookie year and already in the playoffs. Granted I'm not playing, but am I complaining? No. I'm thankful for what I've got regardless! Here's to another great year! Cheers!

****************************** January 7th, 2007 ******************************And almost as quickly as we're in, we're out. Seattle beat us 20-17. The boys played their hearts out out there, what more could you ask for? Vick was pretty beat up over it but it's no big deal really, losing in the playoffs isn't anything to really be upset about in my mind at least. The Colts and Patriots are set to go at it AGAIN next week. Excited to see who wins this time and those 14-2 G-MEN might have their hands full with the guys just beat us, Seattle. I probably won't be writing in this again until Super Bowl time, I got tickets for me and the bro to check it out, cannot wait...at all!

****************************** January 30th, 2007 ******************************When I bought the tickets I had no idea I would've been watching an amazing super bowl game featuring...THE NEW YORK GIANTS! I call it a blessing because that was definitely I always wanted to see and for the first time in my life I got to see the New York Giants WIN a super bowl. That's right, they won. 34-20 over the Patriots to complete the dream season by Eli and Co. My boy Donnie Mullady had a nice little game kick returning and even managed to score a TD on the opening one of the second half, the boy's like lightning! And finally...Brady lost a Super Bowl. Let's stop all the best quarterback ever talk, k? Nah, he's alright, just can't stand how much ESPN puts that entire region on a pedestal. The fans were wild, the arena was loud, and the game was fierce. Two great defenses going to head-to-head but the better offense took the game in this one, a game to remember, for me at least. For you Pats' fans...maybe not, but, too bad! .

Sorry some of those entries were pretty lame but honestly, I wanted to get through that waste of a season on the bench (and no I'm not saying Shannon'll be starting in 2008) and get to real-time persay in 2007-08. Picking Madden 08 up tomorrow, messing with rosters to get them to represent this season as best I can, adding you fellas in and Shannon, and then getting this thing rolling!

I know one thing, Blitz made history returning punts as a quarterback lol! Looks like I had a decent season, my speed might hurt me, but I should be great for the redzone with my height. Dont blame ya for running through the season, did the Giants really knock off New England in the dynasty? If so, pretty good coincidence.

And yes, the Giants really did knock the Pats off. The Giants went 14-2 while the Patriots went 12-4 I believe. Eli had a great season and went to the Pro Bowl. There were a number of players who's ratings I bumped up to try and match where they really should have been, Eli was not one of them, so I was like woah...haha.

Damn, me and Walker kicked some ass as rookies man. Yeah... and those entries were weak. But I understand why. It can get boring when there is no action. So yeah. Can't wait to see what next season has in store. Oh and on a side note... unless you are playing the Superstar chise... um... Madden 08 really really sucks... you may actually want to stick with 07 or whatever you are playing. Seriously though... it is TERRIBLE. I hate almost every aspect of the game this year. Big disappointment.

Big disappointment. Already bought 08 and am playing it now. I like it, a lot actually. Remember, I'm on PS2 so it's not all that different from 07. This version is a smooth improvement from 07, not too many changes but I like the changes.

****************************** February 3rd, 2007 ******************************Well, for those who haven't been keeping up, last month Coach Mora had been fired despite the playoff season (and sorry for mentioning all of this) and Falcons Owner decided to bring in Louisville Head Coach Bobby Petrino. Petrino seems like a pretty cool dude, did a lot out in Louisville so I'm interested to see what he can do out here. There were a lot of questions about Vick's future with Petrino coming in but Petrino announced today that Michael Vick'll be able to call some of the plays. Hopefully, Vick gets his head on his shoulders because a couple weeks ago he was caught at an airport in Miami, with Miami, *sigh*, come on Mike! The team's been searching for some receivers as well, which is great for me obviously being a quarterback, got a few guys on the market so I'm interested to see what we pick up. Ashley's been acting strange lately, I don't know what's up with her but I found some dude's number in her bag when I went in there just get some gum. Let me find out...

****************************** March 8th, 2007 ******************************Well it's official, Joe Horn is a Falcon! Gotta say that's a great addition for us man. He's lost a step I'm sure but he's still a great veteran receiver. There has also been a lot of talk revolving around Matt Schaub and it's looking like he won't be back. Good for him, he deserves to be somewhere playing! The pregnancy is really coming along. We decided we didn't want to know the sex of the baby. I've been praying like crazy that everything will turn out well both for us as well as whatever Ashley is up to. I'm probably just being irrational, she married me not even a year ago, we're having a baby, I love that girl and I know she wouldn't do anything like that...at least I'd hope not while she's pregnant with my baby. I trust her.

****************************** March 25th, 2007 ******************************Well, Schaub's out. Good luck to him man, he deserves it. The Falcons and Texans struck a deal to send him there and it's pretty fair to say he'll be starting with the release of David Carr. Meanwhile, all the media is buzzing around here saying we kept the wrong quarterback. I feel bad for a lot of what Mike Vick is going through. The kid has done so much for the team and yet people need MORE and MORE and MORE. Ugh...let the man play, he's improving, just give him a minute! Do you know any other QB who can rush for 1,000 yards? Didn't think so. We've got something special here and you should all be thankful for him. Hopefully Petrino can fix whatever needs to be fixed and then he'll be just what everyone thought he would be.

****************************** April 29th, 2007 ******************************Man, what a weekend, sat around and watched the draft today and yesterday. We took Jamaal Anderson with the 8th pick, a defensive end out of Arkansas. Boy's a beast. I thought we should maybe consider Ted Ginn Jr. but Jamaal Anderson is definitely a good pick to help out our defensive line and give John Abraham some help on the other side. The biggest steal had to be Justin Blalock in the second round though. Kid's a guard out of Texas and was expected to go in the first round but somehow fell in our laps in the 2nd round. Not complaining at all man, that line needed some work! No offense fellas! Ashley's 5 months pregnant now, the baby's due August 17th, I can't wait!

****************************** May 31st, 2007 ******************************Let the drama begin! Investigations have begun at one of Michael Vick's estates. Apparently, he's been linked to dogfighting on his property in Virginia. Something like 66 dogs were found at the estate. 66 dogs! That's just crazy. Mike, I hope you didn't man...

****************************** June 23rd, 2007 ******************************Well, offseason workouts are finished. It was nice to get out there with the rest of the team and get some work done. I'll admit I hadn't thrown the ball in about a month. Been so busy with the pregnancy. I can't believe how close we are! Coach let us know to keep preparing for Camp on July 26th, keep ourselves ready mentally and everything. I feel bad, haha, I'm gonna be interrupting the team, well sorta, with the baby now. Last year it was marriage, LOL! Coach understands though so that's cool. He seems like he's got a lot in store for us this year, I'm feeling pretty good about this season...

****************************** July 18th, 2007 ******************************I don't even know what to say right now... I've been at church since about 9:30 this morning, the things I learned are just too much to bear. At about 6:30 last night, I had to run Ashley to the hospital. Our son was born a month premature...he didn't make it. So many months preparing for this beautiful child, ugh... This morning, things only got worse. As Ashley lay in her hospital bed she decided NOW was a good time to tell me. "Shannon," she said. I looked up and saw this look of fear in her eyes. "I had an affair, I cheated on you...I'm sorry." She should've been scared. How could she? This devout Christian virgin that I felt was seriously the girl I belonged with and she cheated on me?!?! Suddenly all the memories hit me, from her not wanting to go to church, to not even wanting to talk about God, she lost him at some point. It's like we switched places. Me being the guy who never paid any mind to it at all to being this strong believer and trusting him in every way. Her going from being this amazing young girl who managed to make it through her teenage years with ever pure thing in tact, to this...a sinner, to say the least. I was disappointed, but only in her, that she could even let this world lead her as it had, I was disappointed. "And Shannon," by now I was looking at the ground, I couldn't like at her. I couldn't look at a whore. I was doing my best to hold in the tears, my shoulders felt heavy almost as if the whole world was resting on my shoulders. I looked at her emotionless. "What do you want?" I asked. Tears flowed from her eyes, "Good," I thought. "The baby...it..." I clenched my fists, I knew what she was gonna say. I knew it! "It may not have been yours." I leaped out of my chair and grabbed her by the throat but quickly let go. I wanted to hit her so bad but there was no use. Who does she think she is? How could she?!?! I walked right out of the room and straight to the church I went to with some of the guys last year before games, Peachtree Chrstian Church, a few miles from the stadium. I had to have been there all day because it's almost midnight now. I prayed and talked with some of the pastors. I don't know why it happened but I know she's clearly not meant for me. I'm washing my hands clean of her...time to start over...again. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?" (Matthew 14:30-31)

****************************** July 29th, 2007 ******************************It's so nice to be playing football again and getting away from heh, yea. That girl. She moved back out to California, good for her. Not really missing her around the house either, I've got J.C. and my dog Roscoe, what more can a guy ask for? Well yea, that too, but honestly, at this moment, I'm not interested. Vick was indicted for the whole dogfighting deal and there's a lot of talk that he'll be suspended so Joey Harrington might just wind up starting for us, regardless, I think we'll be fine. I wouldn't mind getting the opportunity to earn the spot myself but who knows, right? It's certainly created quite the distraction and uproar at camp. The media asked me a few questions but I just chose to say no comment and continued walking on. Do they really think I'm gonna sit there and talk about my teammate like that? It's none of my business really. I don't know. Preseason starts in a couple of weeks, can't wait. Get to play my boy Jayson Blitz-Ellis the first week and the Jets. If you think I'm quick, you should see this guy, he's like lightning on the gridiron man! I'm out ladies and gents, till next time, peaaaace.
