****************************** February 27th, 2008 ******************************For the past couple days I've been cooped up in this hospital bed, pleading to be let out. Test after test is just driving me insane when I really just want to get up out of this bed, go home, lay in bed with Chloe, and play some f'n 360 or something. Now they're telling me I should be going home tomorrow so...we'll see what happens. Some of the guys from the team, err...my former teammates from the Falcons, dropped by to see how I was doing this week. A few others sent some gifts. It was a nice feeling to know people were still caring about me. Unfortunately, I'm no longer apart of their team and it looks as if the Falcons will be taking a QB in April's draft. The draft. There are a few kids coming in that are gonna make it harder than it already is for me to get a good spot on a team's roster this year. With all my issues, I'm worried no one will take me as it is. I wish I never got into the car with that girl that night but I did and I reap what I sow... Up to this point I had been working out everyday, keeping my body and my mechanics to par. I can't afford to get rusty and being stuck in this hospital bed isn't helping me any. I'll deal with the pain on my side, it's no big deal really. As for Chloe, she's been amazing. It took so long but I think this is something to be serious. The girl hasn't left my side since I've been in here and it's impossible not to love her for that. Looking at her now, passed out on the chair beside me, I always knew. They better let me out of here soon, I've got a lot of things to do and football season is far too close to be spending the spring in the hospital.

****************************** April 2nd, 2008 ******************************Home sweet home. I've actually been home for three days now but I was busy settling in so I didn't get a chance to type in here for you guys, the few fans I still suppose I have. James came down while I was still in my coma and I've been working out with him, getting myself back into football shape and shaking some of the rust off for him. I think he's gonna be better than me, I'm so proud of him. He's managed to keep his head on straight through everything. It sucks how people always overlook him because of me, especially since I'm really nothing special, but I love how well he handles it. He's gonna be a star. It hurts my left side a bit to throw because the stitches are still in but I don't care at this point. I have little town to impress scouts and earn a signing somewhere. I have to do what I have to do. Unfortunately, that also means I need a new agent because Rosenhaus dropped my ass. Guess I was a little too much drama for him. Kinda sad considering he's got TO and Ocho Cinco on his list...damn. Gonna go throw some more with James. He's gotta get back up to Miami Ohio soon, can't wait to see him out there playing. I told him this was his year to show people what he's about, he just smirked. Cocky little shit.

****************************** April 4th, 2008 ******************************James just left and it wasn't on good terms. He got a little cocky because I thought I could mess with him and I guess I went overboard with it. He got pissed, whipped the ball at me, made me feel like utter crap, and bounced. What he said was true though, what have I done that I haven't totally ruined? Look where I am right now, this isn't what I wanted. James on the otherhand, the kid has always been on point and I think he'll continue to be. He's gonna do big things this year in Miami and earn himself a spot in the NFL. I'll be damn proud of him when he does. I just wish he forgave me..I'm a douche bag I guess. Chloe went on a family vacation with her parents and sister Brittany (James' age), so now I'm kinda stuck here in A-Town by myself with the parents. Gonna head up to the gym in a little to get some weight training in, just wanted to drop in on you guys and let you know what was going on. Peaaaaaace.

****************************** April 23rd, 2008 ******************************So finally, the phone calls have been rolling in from teams curious to see where I'm at with everything as the draft inches closer. Unfortunately, not one single team is looking at me quite like I would like them to. My parents' phone rang off two days ago and my mother came running into the living room where I was schooling my Pops in some MLB 08 the Show completely excited. "What's up ma?" I asked as my Dad and I looked at it like she was the maniac she always has been. "It's a member of the Indianapolis Colts scouting team, he wants to speak to you." I dropped the controller at the finish of that sentence and snatched the phone from her. "Hello? Shannon Kennedy speaking." "Hi Shannon, this is Tom Merlonie from the Indianapolis Colts," he replied. "What can I do for you sir?" "With the draft approaching, the Colts organization has been examining their needs and whether there would be a good sign on the free agent market or in the draft and of course per why I'm calling, you are an interest of the Colts." "Wow, really?" "Yes, but I'm not sure it's quite what you're looking for." "Well no, I'd prefer to start but I'm looking to take anything right now," I said, realizing that I'd be stuck behind Peyton Manning for the rest of ever if I were to sign with them. "Shannon, we're looking into converting you to be scatback of sorts for us, with some trick plays and the like to utilize that bazooka of an arm you have." I was caught off guard. I was a quarterback and always have been. My accuracy wasn't the greatest and I threw a lot of interceptions, but I thought I did pretty damn good at quarterback for Atlanta last year. "So running back?" "Yes sir, it might be a bit uneasy right now being you are a quarterback but I think it could really help your career." "It's not something I ever really put any thought to." "Oh I have no question of that in my mind. Just think about it, this isn't an offer but the Colts may consider sending something your way before the draft. You have a few days before that decision comes." "I'll be sure to do that sir." "Thanks Shannon. Have a nice day!" "Thank you, you too, bye!" I hung up the phone and couldn't juggle it in my head. Running back? "What's wrong Shan?" my mother asked. "They want me to play running back," I answered. "Running back? You're a quarterback, always have been," my Dad fired back angrily. I understood his anger but this may be my only way back into the game. I turned out to be right as within the next 36 hours, the Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, and Baltimore Ravens also contacted me with interest in a similar form. Running back? I don't know man..it's a position so different to me. I guess I'm too small for receiver but they still want me for a Randle El, Brad Smith-esque type player on offense. Denver, Arizona, and Dallas even mentioned return opportunities because of my blitzing speed. I don't know..I have to think about this...at least team's have some interest. I'm gonna go lift a bit, I'm out..peaaaaaaace.

Hehate's a beast so that's gonna be fun for you to keep an eye on in future seasons. I added a poll to the top of the page just to get some of your input. Haha yea Dallas wouldn't really work for me either I'm kinda liking screwing around with him on Denver on Madden 08. I may just update the rosters to the best of my ability and deal with it. I don't have NCAA 08 because I just didn't care to get it last year, so I gotta scam the draft class somehow. We'll see what happens I guess. Shannon's rating is a 72 at HB since I just used the same attributes I had for him at QB..I wonder if Denver's got a HB Pass in their playbook...

Rosters are updated pretty well up to 2008 (at least the offenses, I don't care as much for the defenses), all I have to do now is create 25 (damn) rookies and Kevin Dockery for the Giants and the 2009 regular season (with the 2008 schedule) will be starting off. This will mean the start for James' regular season as well in a day or two.
I updated most of you guys up to 86-88 depending on how I felt you fared in 2007. I'm considering moving a couple of you, especially Jayson Blitz-Ellis since he now has Brett Favre dropped in front of him.

UPDATE: Jayson Blitz-Ellis has been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs and will immediately be named their starter. Mike Mill has been traded from his hometown love of the Philadelphia Eagles to the Buffalo Bills and will be their #2 receiver across from deep threat Lee Evans.
Rosters are all set and looking pretty good. I'm kinda impressed with myself that, because of a power outage, I created 26 rookies twice. Look for things to start picking up from here on out!
