Alright, so if you were at school or work and a shooting was taking place, what would you do? You hear all these people say "I would take the gun away and knock that MF'er out" but really if the time came I am sure they would be the first to hide.
I bring this up because the cops caught a guy that was threatening to do this where my sister goes to school. They raided the guys house and found 4 AK's and enough fire arm for 8 people.
I always prepare for the worst. I travel a lot on airplanes and I seriously think about if this flight tries to get hijacked, what am I going to do. I set a plan up and if I happens I'm going to follow it. Ever since 9/11 I've been that way.
If it were me and I saw what the guy was doing and there were no hope, I would try to go down with a fight. However, if I could escape I would try my best and not just sit in a room and lock the door and hide.
If this offended anyone with the whole VT thing, sorry.

I ALWAYS think about this stuff, I have no idea why. But I always run through "worst-case-scenario" type stuff in a ton of situations and think about what I should/would do.
In that kind of situation, unless I knew I could get rid of the guy, I wouldn't try to take him down, but I think I'm definitely the type of person who'd be the last guy out after trying to help as many people out as I could.

I would do my best to escape while attempting to help others on the way. At least I say I would. I don't think I can accurately say how I would act. It all changes when the person has a gun in your face.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'd probably run like a pansy.

A kid brought a gun to school yesterday, unfortunately he used it on himself and no one else. Its really rough times around here, he was a well liked kid.
RIP KJ

damn that sucks to hear sep.
I dont really know what I would do, I always think about this kind of stuff all the time. Im a person who cares more about other people than myself to an extent. So I would try to do something like stop the guy with the gun or something but in that situation ur id takes over so ur not really urself.

Depends if I could get out of there or not. Stuck in a room, a few guys just need to charge him. Some will get shot, but you'll probably save more lives. If I can get out of the room/place however, I'm running like a pussy.

Me and one of my friends sit on opposite sides of a lecture class of about 400 people and we've talked about this so much that if that does happen, as soon as we make eye contact, given the proper situation, then we are charging the guy and hoping that some other big dudes follow our lead. However, if the situation ever arose, I doubt I would charge the guy unless it was initiated by someone else but I don't see myself just running off leaving people in the room, I'd feel too guilty.

In all seriousness, I'm pretty terrified of Arabs in public places. I hate it because I get so weary and need to get out and I know it's wrong but, like...I can't help it. Wal-Mart has to be the worst for this.

You know how messed up it is when a pretty good representation of the young society today all say they think about this kinda thing? The generations before us didn't have anything like that to worry about this seriously.
The Cold War with Russia was pretty serious but it doesn't seem like people were to distraught about it after awhile.

The Cold War went on so long that it sort of just slipped into the backs of people's minds as a fact of life, or so I've been told by the adults I know that lived through it. There were definitely escalations and such, but it just sort of became the same old thing.

I think it's just because of how random violence has become. Terrorism is virtually the most effective warfare, we have school shooting incidents practically monthly.

The generations before us were the good times (so I hear from co-workers, parents, and older friends). Maybe it's the influences in todays America? Most rappers are rapping about selling drugs and killing people and these kids believe it so they feel they need to do it because their idol said they did it. But, when it comes down to it, that rapper is sitting in his house pronouncing all his words correctly and eating a nice steak while the butler cleans his room. </rant>

Well worrying about it wouldn't have changed shit for them either. The point is you can't waste time worrying about things that you really have NO control over.
