Wilt played against a bunch of guys who weren't on the same level as he was and his numbers show that. Shaq played against a bunch of guys who were in their primes and specialized to do things like rebound and block shots Yes, I dont think anyone is denying this. Shaqs competition was much greater. But we are discussing who dominated the NBA more, and Wilt did because he was so much better than everyone else. Thats what dominating means. We must have different views of the word. |

The baseball comparison made plenty of sense...
Babe Ruth was also, like you stated, playing against people who were nowhere near the same level as he was.
Hank Aaron did.
First fact + second fact = Babe Ruth way more dominant than Hank Aaron let alone anyone else in the sport of baseball.
Kinda goes the same for Wilt vs. Shaq.
Also, much like Hank, Shaq was never quite the best in the NBA, especially in the vital stats of his position, blocks and rebounds.

I'm not being a homer, I'm stating facts unlike you. actually, you havent stated any facts at all Yes he did. This is what the word "dominant" means. Players very close to the level of shaq, which means he didnt dominate them. If he was the best in these categories wouldnt he have led the league in them at some point? No he isnt Pot, meet kettle. If shaq went to unc or something this isnt even a conversation. |
