Just heard on the new that gas may hit as much as $5 a gallon at some point this summer, and it will be $4 by Memorial Day. Woo.

And gas prices used to be regulated by the government and kept way down, once that ended you had to see a rise in price coming in the future. We are still way behind the rest of the world.
Not to mention that China and India are starting to drive nicer vehicles, gas prices will never be low again so shut up about it.

Your precious Iraq War is to blame here. Which is why Exxon posted a $40 billion profit last year.

Good ole supply and demand....
Oil is going no where but up, supply isn't going to catch up to demand any time soon. Worldwide demand is going crazy right now, we either adapt so we don't have to pay as much or realize that if we want to keep our way of life we're going to have to pay a lot more. (Run on sentence ftw)
It does cost my ass 60 bucks to fill up a time...brutal

However, the Iraq war is a huge problem in terms of oil availibility over here. Despite china and indias huge populations the US (and in the patricular the US people, aka you guys) are still the highest polluters and the most wasteful society on the planet per capita.

Keep blaming everything on the Iraq war instead of a shitty government as a whole. actually per capita stats are much more useful since it shows just how truly wasteful you're society is. Per person the US pollutes I think it was 6 times more the china and india. I can't remember the exact numbers but it was something like 5% of the population contributing 50% of the global pollution. I think per capita stats are indicative of the attitude towards the environment of a society as a whole. China and India should be waaaaaay ahead of you guys in terms of pollution just considering their enormity but they're not because the US is the most wasteful country in the world, by far. I do agree with you on you guys' having a shitty government although ours isn't much better.
