We may not win every game, but we've never lost a party.

I don't know bro, T-Town knows how to throw down the night before games... Ever been to Baton Rouge? Night game at Tiger Stadium, like nothing else. Ole Miss throws down though, I assure you. There's a reason I can't wait till football season. Jack Daniels and SEC football...I really can't think of a better combo, just ask Kenny Stabler. ;D

I'm lucky, I still get to do the student ticket thing. Five bucks a pop I think... Oh and how's the stadium coming along? I know they were planning to do some major work on it. With that going on though, I'm sure those season tickets went for quite a pretty penny. It'll be worth it, at least you can be pretty sure Texas is going to have a good team this year.

I used to have seats better than anything in the stadium... now I have to pay to go - what bullshit :-) The student tickets this year were $65 for the 7 games (wife is a student again, bro-in-law is in the band) and the guest ticket was $385 for the season. Because the wife is a grad student - we should have pretty good seats so it'll be a good time. The stadium is coming along great... I believe they're almost done. They partially enclosed the upper deck in the north end zone. The south will still be bleachers with the godzillatron I believe. The stadium will hold over 100k next year... I don't know what the exact number is. www.texassports.com/webcam.htmleverything at the orange seats and above is new this year

Looks very nice. There's just something that feels good about having a big ole stadium. It's like "hey (rival school) we have a bigger cock than you." ;D
Yeah and those prices aren't too bad. I'm sure it'll be well worth the 400 bucks for the enjoyment of big time college football. Right? Right? Yeah

yes and no... some games I'd rather be at home watching many games on tv all day instead of being at the stadium all day - you know. The home schedule for UT is pretty boring this year too... Fla Atl, Arkansas, Rice, Mizzou (good game), Okie St, Baylor, TAMU... eh. At least last year had TCU, Tech, K-State and Nebraska.

Yeah that's not great. You could always sell of the tickets to the games you don't want to go to. Probably won't get a ton of money but would free up a weekend. I sold a couple of tickets (Arkansas and shit schools) so I could watch real games.

selling is tough at UT... the student tickets have your names on them and you go through a special gate where they check student id's... then the guests go through a normal gate. We have 6 seats together.... 3 student tickets and 3 guest tickets... and we can only sell the student tickets to actual students so it makes it tough. The only times you can really sell to students are to the freshmen or the ones who didn't know to buy a student season ticket and they didn't get tickets in the random draw (which is quite a few - it's a large university).
Unfortunately season tickets for UT football isn't anything you can make money off of when you have student tickets... regular season tickets are worth TONS... but they cost thousands and thousands to even get the chance to get them.

I forget how small and backwards Ole Miss is sometimes. You can sell student tickets like regular ones. They show the ticket at the gate and get it. I'd be able to sell for like $10 under regular face value most of the time (I couldn't dump by NWST ticket though, but less than 20K showed up for it). For a $5 ticket, that's $25 profit each game. I guess it helps that there are enough seats for every student in the student section, so no one gets left out.
I know LSU does it like you describe and it does make sense UT would. Huge school and a big time football program. Since students can't get tickets, I guess it makes sense to not let you sell them to anyone but students. there should be a ticket exchange thing for them though, if some students can't go to at least make face value. Plus get more drunk loud students into the stadium.

I'd get in on this also if someone else runs it and it's not too rushed... a game every 5 to 7 days... I could probably fit that in. We'd just need uber-committed members.
