www.xbox.com/en-US/support/contactcall them, place an incident report, they send you a box, you send the unit, should get it back in 2 weeks or so... pretty easy and simple.

2 weeks is a hell of a lot better than what you would think to expect... I figured it'd be months. My turn around was about 10 days. The American service center is in deep south texas though - Canada has their own but I don't remember where. At least it's not going to south texas...
On a side note - the wife had to work today so I was able to actually get stuff done for me... a little reading... time on the wii and 360... watch the euro final in peace... etc - it's been a nice, lazy day.

k I was hoping I wouldn't have to send it 2000 miles to get it fixed so thats good. Most likely the service is in vancouver or toronto but I don't know either.

I think it was central, so relatively close to you (if I remember correctly...) Calgary maybe?
***Edit - I was wrong - it's in a Toronto suburb I believe

calgary is central canada? thats funny. I guess you guys don't learn much about canada. Calgary is the second most western large city in canada (next to vancouver)

Okay, Calgary and Edmonton are western but in my mind they're central - especially if connected to Winnipeg some 1000 miles away or whatever :-) ... Vancouver is western and Toronto/Montreal are eastern.... everything east of Toronto doesn't count/exist (Quebec, etc). That's simply how my mind works, but I realize population-wise Toronto is probably pretty damn near the population-center. I just remember thinking that the xbox center was much further west than Toronto/Montreal, etc.
See what my geography degree got me...

everything east of Toronto doesn't count/exist (Quebec, etc) Too true. This is the way it normally breaks down BC and Alberta is western, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and western Ontario is central, and everything else can go to hell for all I care.

Towel trick cooljay? www.youtube.com/watch?v=31tvXu34T8QI have actually heard this works from a few friends who tried it. Worth a shot I guess if you haven't sent it in. I have also heard it can cause freezing. But hey, what do you have to lose?

I have my doubts whether that would actually work though. I would rather just send it in.

The towel trick can work from a few hours to a week.. all it would be doing would be making it even longer till you get a good 360.
