I'll make this real simple.
8 gold medals > 2.
I also didn't see Bolt finishing fifth in the Olympics at age of 15. But I'm sure just any 15 year old can be a top 5 athlete in his sport at age 15.. no biggie right.

Secondly, no 15 year old has the physical tools to be a top five sprinter. It's almost physically impossible for that to happen. Bolt dominated two of the most competetive events in the sport and broke a world record that looked untouchable. 19.32 is .30 faster than anyone has ran it until Bolt. It's hard to compare the two, but Bolt for me has been more impressive. No one is even close.

Ha .. can't run eight events? But swimming 17 races in 9 days is quite doable and less demanding? Gotcha.

Once water goes in my mouth or nose, I'm done lol. Swimming is very demanding on the body and I'm sure not to many swimmers will come close to what Phelps has accomplished. I could only imagine how hard his training is for those events he swam in. He just makes everything look so easy.

Yeah I have a pretty good idea what would go into it. It's not a knock on Phelps because he was amazing. Bolt breaking the 200 m record into a headwind is the most impressive acomplishment this Olympics.

Didn't Bolt slow down, then turn around and look at the rest of the field before he finished the 100?

I have no respect for Bolt, the stunt he pulled in the 100m was out of line, that's probably why I don't like most sports athletes these days because most of them pull stunts like what Bolt did
I agree that Phelps is way more impressive. 17 races in 9 days and must you forget all 8 medals that he won, he has the world record in those events, and those records were set in this olympics. /end arguement

And again, ignoring the smoggy conditions in Beijing and how not nearly as many records are being broken in the Bird's Nest. I think I've only seen two world records broken. Guess who broke them? I'm not saying Phelps didn't accomplish a lot. I'm saying not to diminish a guy's accomplishments because he was excited to win the gold medal, blow everyone away, and break the world record in the 100m. Not provable, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I don't really hate showboat-y athletes anyway. At least, not enough to completely dismiss their accomplishments. That would be pretty immature of me, agreed?

Phelps can thank a lot of those world records to the new suits and the fast pool. It's not like he was the only one breaking the records. In the 4 x 100 m five teams finished in WR time. There were a ton of WRs broken in swimming. Bolt has broken the only two for track and one that has held since 1996.

Bolt is the best thing to happen in track and field forever, he is so great. I would much rather track athletes act like he does rather than the ridiculous amount who are the most stuck-up, egocentric people out there. Bolt enjoys every moment, is having a ton of fun, and has pulled off the most incredible performance of the Olympics. If Jamaica takes gold in 4x100 I think he will certainly have to be seen as the star of these games.

Hey yall, you need to see the Spain-USA hoops game.
It was EPIC.
I stayed up from 2:30AM EST to 4:30AM Est to see it Live and it was worth it.
Even if you hate the NBA, this game was crazy. Full of action, scoring, physical play, etc. In the end Kobe took over and helped us squeeze out the victory. It was great.
