I need something exciting to look forward to in my life. Im tired of the same old shit. So with that said my dad and I are thinking about flying to michigan to check out the Wolverines play (and hopefully beat) the Buckeyes on Nov. 21st. I've never been down to Ann Arbor so i thought it'd be cool to do something exciting and see what that rivalry game is like in person.
so i was wondering what are some cool spots to hit up. Hotels close to the school. Places to party. Eat. I'd be there for 3 days prolly and want to check out as much as I can.
Thanks!

There's not much to see in Ann Arbor, to be quite honest. It's essentially the Michigan campus, a bunch of medical office HQs, and the occasional automotive plant.
It does have a mall, though.

What did you really expect from me? There really are no hot girls there though. I've been there for sports camps before, and I wasn't impressed with the campus. I thought a school of Michigan's reputation would have a better campus to be quite honest with you. But I was last there 3 years ago so... maybe things have changed around there.

Meh, not really looking for poon if i go...i'll be with my dad lol. I do have a friend who i havent seen since my freshman year of high school who goes to U of M so i asked her the same question I asked DC. It'd be nice to hang out with her while im there. She had a big crush on me when we were younger but i was disinterested...although she was and still is very cute. But realistically, i'd be in Ann Arbor for gameday than leave that night or early Sunday morning. Just being inside that stadium would be very cool.

Def. go, just for the chance to go to an Ohio State-Michigan game.
If I had to say though, it'd probably be better to see it when its in Columbus because for the most part Michigan's fans in the stadium are older people, I actually had someone tell me to "sit down, your at a football game not a party for christ sake" when I was there for the 05

I thought that was people just fucking with me when they talked about that, but he literally said 'down in front i want to see'. That shit pissed me off, like i see people who are there reading books and not even payin attention to the game. Hell, even one lady said "turn the music down, its too loud, i can't think." WTF lady its a football. Those people piss me off, so im thinkin bout going in the family section for OSU but idk if it'd be better or not. But to answer Blaze's question. Ann Arbor is actually pretty boring to be completely honest. I love it to death simply because it's Michigan and I've always wanted to live here my entire life, but to the average person (not saying you're average, just saying you dont have emotional ties to the area so you're not biased) I don't see what fun stuff there is to do there lol. Gameday is just an all day experience for me though. I like 3:30 games more then 12:00 (when their home games) simply because you get a good 5-6 hours of tailgating in, a game, then usually after the game you can go hit up another tailgate to watch the rest of the games.. Thats why I did after Notre Dame, watched the OSU-USC game at a tailgate outside the stadium. It was funny cuz players kept driving by askin bout the score and shit. Places to eat are Blimpy Burger (the messiest burger ever) and Zingermans. uhh there's Briarwood mall pretty close to the stadium, and the corner of stadium of main about a hour before the game is going to be the biggest mass of people you've ever seen in your life. No homo but i wish i could see your reaction the first time you walk into the Big House. I almost died I was so ecstatic. So recap, don't get a ticket in front of an (BAD) old person, they force you to sit down and if you don't, they call the usher on you. If you do come let me know though.

If you do come let me know though. awesome Chis. yeah there shouldnt be a problem with me standing all the time during the game because im not a super diehard like everyone else is. NFL fans are bitchy about standing up so im use to that shit. I'll stand when everyone else is and whatnot and be respectful. And the tickets i was looking at (from stubhub.com...my source to buy tickets ) were about $375 for two in endzone 38R and row 49. I was shocked that there were more than 85 rows in the big house lol. And yeah, i've always wanted to visit that place ever since i got into college football. My dad played for Purdue in football in the late 80s (played with Rod Woodson. Awesome) and said the Big House is breathtaking and loud. I guess thats why he's a Michigan homer even though Purdue comes 1st lol. Also, do you know any hotels that are close to the stadium? Maybe walking distance? I was looking at the Days Inn Express in Ann Arbor but like i said, i dont know the area. Definetly would love to try the food there. I <3 food. And how much would parking cost? Thanks a ton. EDIT: you goin to the game by chance chis....or anyone else on DC

Blaze you really have to come to Happy Valley. Badass stadium in an area that actually has a pulse. Totally. Happy Valley is on my list of places to visit. TBH i wanna visit Ann Arbor, PSU,and LSU and attend a football game. I love Oklahoma State and all but i want to see how these bigger schools tailgate, how the students party, how loud the stadium gets, etc. I love to travel and go new places and now that i got steady income i dont have to worry about cash too much. I wouldnt dare plan all this 6 months ago but now i wanna do something exciting hence why im interested in going to Ohio State-Michigan.
