I like what I read about EA Sports wanting to keep Madden and NCAA as seperate beasts. It seems to me what they did in previous years (give NCAA the Madden features from the previous year) just wasn't cutting it. NCAA as Madden's little brother? I don't think so. EA Sports is making the right move by trying to bring out the specifics of what makes college football, and the NCAA Football series for that matter, unique.

Just read in my Game Pro Mag:
EA Sports' College Football series has so completely dominated the sport that, once again, cheif competitor ESPN Videogames won't be making a college game this season. As another season of Domination looms, crowd atmosphere is one of the primary additions to NCAA 2005--on a big day, the crowds cheers and jeers will be monitored, affecting player performance and even you, the gamer, by shaking the camera and rattling the controller. A new "match-up stick" lets you key in on personnel mismatches and use them to your advantage, and Dynasty mode now factors in elements like player grades, and Potentional transfer to other schools. Gatorade baths for coaches and fan celebrations like the Gator Chomp will also keep the college atmosphere loud and proud. -- This is right out of the Game Pro Mag.
