We whooped some Irish today. In what I thought would have been a better game we thrashed them and dominated them in everything. I hope for once this changes our luck so we don't lose a game before the OSU one.

Michigan looked very good in there showing against the Fighting Irish. I stand by that no team has had a harder schedule so far than the Fighting Irish, but that means nothing if you lose. It's evident that the Irish aren't playing like they did last season. They aren't playing at the high level that their offense produced in almost every game. It's almost as if there trying to play it safe.

Out routes, counter plays.... these dont work in college. We saw it against Georgia Tech, we saw it against Penn State and we saw it again in Michigan. Finaly it got to em, and maybe now they will wing it like they did last year.

Michigan called them soft and Notre Dame proved them right. Never before have I watched a game where the players angles of pursuit and inability of tackle has left so much to be desired. They didn't try and tackle, they tried to catch the ballcarrier in there arms.

Also, tipped passes and fumbles killed it for us. It'd been much closer had we not turned the ball over on very "lucky" plays. Things went wrong for the Irish, so dont get me wrong, we deserve the L.

I was also kind of shocked how the Irish came out soooo cold and out of rhythm. I don’t know if it was Jerome 'the bus' Bettis' comments the previous day at the pep-rally that made them play that way or if Brady Quinn had a pre-party before the game on Friday. Who knows but we do know that Michigan has something to prove this season, Brady Quinn will have a hard time getting the Heisman if he keeps playing like that, and Notre Dame will have a HARD time getting to the national championship after this game.

I still think Michigan has a way to go since I think their offense didn't look great but Henne had just a wonderful game with Manningham for 3 TD's and that was something to watch. This kid is the real deal and will make great strides while at Michigan if he continues until his senior year.
