Um.. when your conference has only played 1 bowl game as a whole.. it obviously is pretty crappy.

I'd love to see Michigan St. in the Big 12 or the SEC and then see how they do. Also, Penn State is 7-4. Just because they won a BCS bowl game last year does not mean they are good this year. And then you say Iowa? ?? Do you mean the 6-5 Iowa school? ? The same school that is 2-5 in thier conf? ?? The same Iowa that was beat in the Outback bowl last year by Florida. Is that the Iowa your talking about? ?Are we on the same page here?? I might spend 12 hours in the barn and start to get a little crazy but I know that Iowa is not one of the better Big 10 teams this year. You could have at least made a case for 7-4 Purdue.

I'd love to see Michigan St. in the Big 12 or the SEC and then see how they do. Are u fu*kin serious?? WHERE IN THIS THREAD HAVE I SAID MSU WAS GOOD? NOWHERE!!! Iowa is still a good football team and Penn State is 7-4 after losing a boatload of talent. You also didn't help your cause by mentioning Purdue. Did I diss the Big 12 or SEC clayton? As a matter of fact I ranked the Big Ten lower than both. Nowhere did I diss your precious Gators. What I responded to in the first place was you saying that big ten teams had not played anyone. I responded and I get blasted with people thinking I am saying my teams good. I simply said Michigan State played Pitt and ND. Does that make them good? No. Also, why does everyone bash me when I talk about them? It doesn't happen to anyone else. I don't act like my team is the greatest in the nation. What's the problem?

Wow, you really shouldn't bother arguing if you can't keep yourself under control.

Ok, honestly, I think talk that the Big East is legitimately better than the Big 10 or Big 12 is a joke and I even think the Pac-10. People are misled by the records of WVU, Rutgers and Louisville.
Louisville beat up on poor ass teams like Kentucky and Temple and beat a Miami team that frankly is about a week away from turning into a methlab and having a giant gang war.
WVU has the same case. I'm sure their games against Marshall, E.Washington, E.Carolina, Miss. St. and Syracuse were real toughies, as i'm sure their match-ups with South Florida and Cincy will be.
Rutgers, meanwhile, beat teams like Ohio, Howard and a North Carolina team that every game it's played this year except for their hard fought 3-point win over D-1AA Furman.
The competition level is a joke in the Big East and those who use the "Big 3" arguement about the Big 10 fail to look at the Big East as having that very same problem. Iowa is a very solid team who had the unfortunate task of playing Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin in the same year and took the toll for it. Michigan State has the talent to beat many teams, unfortunately when you implode like the Spartans do, it's hard to defend them as a solid program.
The Pac-10, while not the strongest either, is certainly stronger in the sense that its a bunch of solid teams, one really good team (Cal) and one great team (USC) battling each other. That's why some Pac-10 schools are underachieving. Having to play Cal and USC, let alone Oregon, Arizona State and an upstart Arizona program would make it hard to have great records.
The Big Least is just that. This conference is nothing after the "big 3" which aren't even that big or bad to begin with. Rutgers god awful schedule, coupled with an increase in talent led to the season they're having now. WVU will beat them handily, showing that the Scarlet Knights pulled out a lucky win against Louisville, who wasn't even that great of a team to begin with.
Once that happens, it'll rightfully be down to the winner of the OSU-Michigan game and probably USC or Florida. As it should be.

I can't argue that the Big East isn't the least talented BCS conference because I believe it is, although the ACC isn't all that impressive this year.
I'm hopeful it won't continue. I think UConn has a good coach, I was hoping for more out of Pitt, and the "big three" should continue to get better. Even Syracuse could rebound and Cincinatti is improving pretty quickly. But we're at least a couple years away from all of that mattering in this conversation.
However, I'll take exception to characterizing the Rutgers win over Louisville as "lucky." Louisville got two first downs in the second half and Ray Rice was there when his team needed him. I know Ito missed the first kick, but he said he was distracted when Gay ran offsides. Entirely possible because he's an accurate kicker and nailed everything else. That was a legitimate win.
Now, saying Louisville isn't as good as people think is a different argument, and I wouldn't want any of the BE teams in the NC game either, but they won't be. RU will lose, maybe twice, and I think USC really woke up after their loss. I'd be surprised if they lost again with all those home games.
Oh, and Florida is overrated.

The Big East is going to be up there in a year or two. Jason is dead on with his assessment.

Jealous much David? Georgia Tech wishes it could have been in Rutger's shoes. GT would kill Rutgers even with Reggie Ball at QB. Hopefully the two will square off in the Orange Bowl, but it doesn't seem like Rutgers can even win the Big Least.

K, Big East sucks...I believe it now and honestly the ACC and BE should probably just sit out of the BCS Bowls and watch the big boys play which is apparently the Big Ten, 12, the SEC, and USC and no one else.

Apparently no one heard me when I said Rutgers was where it was because of a crappy sched and one huge performance. Thanks to Cincinnati for proving that to everyone else.

last time I checked the ACC had some quality teams....more than most conferences.
Rutgers is 9-1, WVU, 9-1? or 10-1, Louisville 9-1 or 10-1?....Last time I checked...thats a pretty good conference.

Ha I love how everybody bashes Rutgers so much. To be perfectly honest, you guys just do sound jealous. Just a few years ago, this school was the joke of college football, and now they finally turn it around, and people just say they suck as in the way people do about Duke basketball and the Yankees...
It was a fine run... just kinda calm down about it...

I agree... they aren't as amazing as everybody is making them out to be. But don't tell me they suck. They were absolutely nothing a few years ago and currently looking pretty damn good..

Say ACC is good, and then list of Big East teams. Nice. And Briere, I don't really think people are saying they suck like people do NYY and Duke. They kind of have to win championships for it to be like that. They aren't as good as everyone is giving them credit for, but they are a solid team.

I've said all along that Rutgers would lose one or two games. I didn't expect them to look quite as hapless as they did against the Bearcats, but I think it's a season to build on.
They still have a lot to play for too. Assuming a win at home against Syracuse, they need to beat WVU on the road, something they've never done, and it's a great season. It will be interesting to see how they rebound from this.
Cincinnati looked pretty good. They lost to Pitt early, but the rest of the thier losses are against ranked teams (Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Louisville, West Virginia.) I think it's an up and coming program.
