Well, it doesn't make any sense when you think about it. Pinkel's not that bad of a coach, he's just stubborn at times and makes some bonehead calls. And he's got Missouri with a great shot at a ten-win season still.
Yes, there are bigger names out there though that might suit the MSU program better.

Mooch is a players coach and wouldn't be the guy to turn it around. This team needs a disciplinarian and not someone who is going to encourage them. Someone needs to get in their face and cuss em out. Assistant coaches are their to pick you up, not head coaches. Michigan State needs the next Woody Hayes or Bo Schembechler. |
