I remember watching him coach with my uncle when I was a little kid. I just heard Lou Holtz talking about what a great guy he was either yesterday or the day before.
And on the eve of the biggest Ohio State/Michigan game I can remember.

Wow.
I am stunned. If there was any coach I hated, it would be Bo. But, I have as much respect for Bo as I do for Woody Hayes, and that is an immense amount of it.
Bo was not only a great football coach, but a great person. God bless his family.

I actually have a close tie to Bo Schembechler. My team's head coach, Gary Durchik, was a freshman TE/LB at the University of Miami of Ohio the year that Bo took over as head coach. My coach, who I just spoke to about a hour ago, said he had never met a man who he hated and loved so much. Bo was that kinda coach that made you hate him at first but then after a time you realized that he is only hard on you cause he cared about you and then you begin to love him.

I couldn't believe it when I heard it on the way to school yesterday morning. The most legendary coach in Michigan's History and one of the best ever. He will be missed by all, I'm still in shock over it.
