At this point, I'm going to say no.
Reasons being, they had their shot. I don't care if it was in Columbus or not Columbus, Ohio State has won in Ann Arbor last season.
Secondly, Florida has just one loss and they are in the SEC and just won the SEC championship. Yes I know Michigan has only one loss too, but the SEC is in my opinion a much tougher conference. Third, Florida is a conference champion. Michigan is not. Michigan had their chance to win the conference championship and they did not. I can't remember a title game where one team involved didn't win their conference.
Lastly, if a rematch were to happen, Ohio State has nothing to prove. They have already beaten Michigan and all the pressure would be on them to do it again. Michigan however, gets a second chance, with everything to gain. They have already lost once, and if they lose again, Ohio State was the better team. But if Michigan wins, there is going to be all this talk about how Michigan is the better team and every single Michigan fan in the US, is going to say something about the damn neutral field and how they showed the world they deserved a second chance. I guarantee that. At least my friends.
As for the UM fans I know on this board, Chis and Maize, I know your opinions but this is the way I see it, and it's nothin personal against you guys.
I stick to my opinion, and say Michigan had their chance, and they didn't win.

If a rematch does take place Ohio State has nothing to play for? We have everything to play for. We have 17 seniors that are playing their last games in the scarlet and gray. Tha means 17 young men in tears after this game when they take off their shoulder pads regardless of the outcome. My only hope is that they are tears of joy.

They have nothing to play for when they are playing Michigan. Basically, that was the national championship. They already won.
I prolly should have said nothing to prove.

I voted for Boise State, because I hate Michigan and don't really like Florida either, but some of your points are kinda silly.
Firstly: If Michigan had beaten Ohio State, would you be making this same argument about them? Doubt it, since they'd have been number one all year.
But....Ohio State has nothing to play for? Are you ******* kidding me? They have a National Championship to play for. If they play the game and Michigan wins, nobody's going to say, "Oh, Ohio State beat Michigan once, so they already won." No. They're going to say Michigan won the National Championship, which they did. A neutral field changes a lot, and you can go back to where I said that Michigan would beat Ohio State on a neutral field.
I'm a Big Ten guy, so I'm a little biased towards Michigan here, but go Boise State, and this is why college football needs a playoff for God's sakes.

I know that the neutral field changes a lot, but Ohio State has won in Ann Arbor before. Why should it make a difference in Columbus? Oh and DB, if your biased toward the big ten, you could favor michigan or osu

Uh, there will not be a neutral field. Do you remember what it was like in Arizona in 2002? Do you remember how we reigned proudly over a small section of gold and blue last year? That's what it will be like. Plus, our fans have two weeks more than anyone else to get tickets, and a month to book hotels.

Well OSU is in. I mean to make the Championship.
OSU hasn't won in Ann Arbor this year. It's a different team every year.
If I put my bias aside, I'd probably have to say Florida. But I'm still hoping the pollsters realize the greatness that is the Boise State Broncos.

When was Ann Arbor meantioned at all in this topic?
Also, if there was a playoff, Michigan would destroy Boise St.

Buck, I know what you're saying but if Michigan wins, I guarantee they will talk about the neutral location whether or not there are a million OSU fans and 20 michigan fans, or the opposite if Michigan wins.
DB, I know they are a different team, but if they are a National Championship team, they should have won that game. The team that deserved the NC game, should have won that game, and OSU did.
Therefore, OSU deserves a shot at another team.
If Michigan gets in, expect everyone in the country go nuts, especially Urban Meyer.

Oh, well, I was basically just reading your post.
Oh, and very off-topic, but, DB, how do you feel about Brian Hoyer playing quarterback next year?

I mentioned Ann Arbor because of the neutral field. It was a bad example.
And buck, why are you getting so tense? I changed what i meant about your team having nothing to play for. I'm hoping your team wins the NC.

Yeah, I've been in a bad mood all weekend.
First, girl problems. Then, USC loses. Then, my 07 disc scratches.

Ok but to get on topic, basically my point was, Michigan had their shot and blew it. Nothing more.
I also think Florida is more deserving because of their 1 and only loss in the SEC and they won their conference championship, Michigan did not.
That is all.

Oh, and very off-topic, but, DB, how do you feel about Brian Hoyer playing quarterback next year? I was praying for Keith Nichol....but firing John L. Smith cost us him. So basically, I'm not expecting a ton out of Hoyer.

Hoyer is going to be fine.
He has an accurate arm and a powerful one. Thing that hurts is he's not quick. He's no Stanton, but he isn't bad. He'll get better as he goes along. He's been a backup his whole career.
