So instead of adding new features the fans called for, they added some pointless gimmick that really doesn't have any effect on the game? Looks like I'm still rolling with '06.

I hear they're going to revamp the recruiting, and add a few things to it.
That alone, if they do it, will persuade me to buy it.

I hope that the new engine is as good as they are hyping it to be. also I hope, if is good, that it is in the current-gen as well as next cause I lan on buying current-gen yet again and rent next-gen. The weather channel is neat, but rather unnecessary. I personally would rather see a multitude of other things than that gimmick.

Knowing EA, they'll skimp out on the PS2 version and not do an Xbox version. This is just more transition to the next-gen games. Oh well, I don't really want the freakin' Weather Channel crap anyway.

The 360 is more like current-gen now it's been out long enough and if Sony was smart they would pull the PS3 off the shelf and stop making them until they can come out with something better than a technology that may not even be used.

Transition's over. Current-gen is now last-gen and next-gen is now current-gen.
Gotta remember, the 360's been out almost a year and a half already.
And why would Sony pull the PS3 now? That would be a ridiculously bad move considering the money involved.

The best feature is blue-ray and that technology is still up in the air

There were plenty of doubts about CDs when they came out....
Someone has to pioneer the technology. Sony is. If blu-ray takes off, they'll look like geniuses.

but blu-ray isn't alone..there is another that is battling it I don't remember what its called thought HD DVD. It's basically the same as Beta-Max and VHS back in the day. I'm leaning towards HD DVD winning, just because the pornographic industry is using it (makes up a surprisingly large portion of DVD sales) and that is one of the factors that pushed VHS over the top. That being said, Blueray is a great technology and a lot of studios are using it. If Blueray takes off, the PS3 will be the winner. The thing is, Sony was using the PS3 to give the blueray a leg up. Who knows where it will end up, I'll be happy with my 360 and if my Dad gets a Wii (Tiger Woods 07) I'll be even happier. That stuff addicting.

I have yet to play Tiger Woods '07 on the Wii but have heard it was awesome. Also, the Wii version of Madden did use the Wii Weather Channel to have up to the minute weather situations for games. I can't wait for a huge snowstorm to hit an NFL city so I can play in the snow.

previews.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/1580/NCAA-Football-08/p1/this is a much better preview, more details. im really digging the fact that you can play high school games in campus legend. and the fact that you can send via live and save replays (which play during the main menu) is pretty cool. and finally gang tackles.

I guess. I didn't see anything new there that's of use to me (the replay thing was new, but I don't have Live so it's a wash) and they mentioned the high school game in the IGN one.

Considering I just dropped $5000 on my dream home theater today, I guess I might as well get NCAA 08 and do it up right....
