ASM, I'm not sure how much I can help you out. But for the past two weeks I have been messing around with sliders and whatnot to try to get realistic gameplay. I think I finally got it. It is still tough, and you will still lose, but none of the 435234532 interceptions (unless you make dumb throws) and you will be able to stop the run and the pass if you play smart football. I don't have them on me right now but I can post them later if you want.
I played PSU against Pittsburgh last night, and I won 20-9. The score is a bit twisted though. On the last play of the game they launched a hail mary and I returned it with Justin King for a touchdown. It was a one possession game before that. I threw the ball about 60% with 1 interception, the cpu about 60% with 3 int (one being that finally bomb) Both teams ran for about 100 yards with there main back... all in all it was a very realistic game

I moved up to AA, default last night and beat TCU in OT 31-28. I felt like I was calling some plays however to make sure they gained yardage, like zone's i knew would get beat, and that isn't the way I want it to be. My only real problem was me having too much success on offense now, my QB threw for 4 TD with 1 INT. I almost got this down, just a little more tweaking....

Last time I checked North Texas ran the ball more then they passed, yet they come out in shotgun almost 90% of the plays? I honestly am not sure what I am doing wrong, I have watched football all my life and know that QB's dont complete 85+% of their passes. Not every teams lines up in shotgun every play, and DB's do cover guys a little bit better and dont give up 15+ yard plays every down. Okay, first off, North Texas has a new coach this year from the H.S. ranks that runs a spread offense, so they got that part right. Second, you need to mix things up. If you call the same types of plays the CPU picks up on it and finds your weaknesses. Switch up man and zone, blitzes and DE drops, QB contains and such. Back off your DB's on 3rd and long, and press with them when you blitz. Yeah Todd Dodge is going to bring his offense in there, so everything is going to change. If his offense can do what it did in the High School ranks at the College level, North Texas could be dangerous. Now on topic. I haven't got much time to play (I just got my 360 back from microsoft, and having 2 brothers, and a friend having his house all to himself for the weekend) but like Bama has said I have found the zone to not work at all. I remember getting burned man to man in all the other years, and using zone very well, but they flipped it this year. Even with Texas' crappy DBs I can get it some what done. I find that getting some pressure on the outside works really well, so try to get your OLBs some blitz plays.

Alright Silver I am wanting to know what your sliders look like. SMU was a nice warmup for Wisconsin...doubt ill be posting about it, but I knew coming in SMU would hold me over till I got comfortable and I would use Wisconsin for the 2nd year in a row....I need those sliders though so I can have some good low scoring games in the Big Ten

That's not really what I'm looking for. I know as Wisconsin ill have good success, like 9 or 10 wins a year, but at the same time I know I should loose to Ohio State, Michigan, those kinda teams....I'm open for them whenever he gets on again

If your going to move up to Heisman, and this is just in general, put he User Tackling slider up to 100 while you are learning, because no matter what the CPU breaks a rediculous amount of tackles on Heisman.

Same with me Backstop.... wait... Backstop? You're back! Good to see you checking in. I can't seem to find a good set of sliders, I am trying to experiment with my own, but your's from last year were the best I ever had.

I will see if there on my system although I think I may have deleted everything from 07 when I got 08. Maybe Maize still has them lying around.
I would start my own sliders again this year but god that was so many games last year. I might get started on a set sooner or later. I want to see Silvers though. They sound pretty good from what he is saying.
EDIT :: SC I hate to ask such a newb question but when would you be able to post that set you have?
