Gameweek fellas. The only game that ever matters all year is almost here. Just 6 days.

For our 2 schools, this is the biggest game each year, regardless. These two teams treat it like a national championship game. And so do the fans.
So don't tell me that people don't care this year, it's f---ing Ohio State v f---ing Michigan.

No one cares as much this year. This is not true. Sad that this gets its own thread though. Apparently you're too good for the Week 12 thread, is that it?

The winner still will win the Big Ten and get a BCS Bowl bid. Ohio State just caught looking ahead, Michigan got outplayed without their top two weapons. If we are healthy, we will win....

You've got to be shitting me. You think you will win if you are healthy? If PSU and NW held Hart to 3.5 YPC, just think what we will do. Henne and Mallett are both atrocious at this point. Malcolm Jenkins quarter when he was lined up agianst Jamario O'Neal.has shut down every top receiver thrown at him this year. Deon Butler, Dorien Bryant, Arrelloius Benn, and now Manningham is next. I also seem to remember Manningham dissapearing after the 1st drive last year against Ohio State, Manningham didn't come alive until the 4th with Jenkins providing coverage. I just can't wait to see how Shawn Crable helps us out this year. 05- Trucked by Pittman at goal line for OSU's go ahead TD 06- Whiffs on Chris Wells, results in 52 yard TD run; 15 yard personal foul, roughing the passer on 4th down 07- ?

A Michigan-tOSU thread where both teams are coming off losses is like a thread about a new sig. Although it's good, it definitely is not good enough for its own thread.
You don't see me starting Army/Navy threads, do you? Or do you see Bama doing Bama/Auburn threads? No.

I cared last year when it was #1 vs #2.
This year, it just doesn't seem as meaningful. I mean neither team has been outstanding this year. Usually there is at least one good team between the two. I mean they're both good, but neither has really proven anything this year.
They both just lost. That has to take away some of the interest. It's usually a great game when both are good, or there is an opportunity for a big upset, but this year just doesn't seem to have the magic it usually does.
That's just my view.

I've had bragging rights in this rivalry for 1,450 days in a row now. I'd like to extend that another 370 (Or 371 for you guys that like to get technical, but it's almost Monday right now.

While I think OSU will beat you, I gotta disagree with you on the PSU and NW points. In those two games, he had Ryan Mallett starting at QB. The opposing D-Coordinators wanted to force Mallett to beat them, so they put 8 men in the box. But, we have that thick headed man named DeBord as our O-Coordinator, and he still tried running into those fronts. The results was 0 and 1 yard gains for Hart, which turned into 5 and 6 later in the 4th quarter. With Henne we still do stupid ass runs into 7 and 8 man sets, but not as much.. Yes I think OSU will beat us, but your wrong about the NW/PSU stats. If you watched the games you'd know what I meant. Both safeties flying to the line of scrimmage the second the ball is snapped is a pretty damn good way to hold any RB to 3.5 YPC. About Shawn Crable, in 05 bleh, and 06 well I wouldn't blame him about the roughing the passer. He's 6'6 and Troy Smith was like 5'10, It was hella hard for him to get below Smith's helmet. I'm not trying to make an excuse because I was pissed the fuck off when he did it and I still think he's a retard for that, but that's a fact. And about Manningham, he was still injured and he was trying to play. Injury or no injury, he was shut down pretty good. How's your nickel corner? Greg Matthews works the middle pretty well. He's a more athletic Jason Avant.

He was brilliant against Purdon't, but he got beat repeatedly against Illinois, and dropped a sure interception. He's shown flashes of greatness, but is easy to beat on a play-action pass.

Is this a bad joke, or does a game that has nothing (now) to do with the MNC actually get its own thread? I mean really? Considering it isn't even the most intense rivalry in the country (I don't care what evidence you have Sportsbuck, it isn't Auburn/Alabama and never will be), why does this get a thread of its own?
Oh and *cough*Go Big Blue ;D

Bah, the reasons being a Michigan fan pisses me off.
First: Debord, for seizing upon the idea that a stretch is such a tricky play that it is in and of itself deceptive and failing to diversify the offense. Second: Andy Moeller, who has not put together an offensive line without enormous holes for three straight years. Third: Mike Gittleson, whose outdated strength and conditioning program -- most prominently seen hanging over Tim Jamison's belt -- has been left behind by every school except Penn State. Fourth: Lloyd Carr, for hiring (or, in Gittleson's case, retaining) all three mostly because they were well known to him.
Also, Shawn Crable. He's the emblem of this Michigan season: irresponsible and poorly coached. First the Appalachian State FG screwup, now a critically stupid personal foul against Tyler Donovan. Plus all those touchdowns on which he lost contain. Add in the Ohio State personal foul, even if it was an unfair and arbitrary application of a stupid rule, and Crable's legacy is one of critical mistakes.
