Also, despite the loss, does anyone think this vaults Beanie into the Heisman Top 5 next year?
Dude ran for 146 yards on a LSU defense featuring a healthy Glenn Dorsey, gotta be worth something.

Eh, we deserve all this shit right now. Except shouldn't it be half of the Bills logo, since we've lost half as many championships in a row? You're missing the point. We're all just shitting on OSU right now.

Way to go Tigers! My boy, Harry Coleman (#24) did well. We went to high school together.
The Tigers are tough to beat when they are healthy.

He'll be a candidate, but he won't be an early front-runner. Tebow and Daniel will likely be the top two on the virtue of returning next year. Pat White and Graham Harrell also will probably start out as favorites. The fifth guy could be either Wells, Slaton, or Sam Bradford. I'd even venture to guess that Todd Reesing will be a darkhorse next year. It's a loaded field next fall. But my money is on Wells somewhere in the Top 5, just not in the top two.

I wasn't on last night, I was enjoying the game at B-Dubs with quite a bit of cash on the line. I won $175, thanks to LSU beating the spread.
As for Wells, he will be a top candidate for the Doak, but not right away for the Heisman. The returning Quarterbacks (as stated by bearcat) is just too good for early attention.
And did anyone catch Jesse Palmer on ESPNews giving his preview for next year. He named West Virginia No. 1, and had USC #5. Very interesting to see when the first polls come out. Time to turn our attention to recruiting.

My Top 5 Teams for 08..
1) Southern Cal 2) Georgia 3) Ohio State 4) Oklahoma 5) West Virginia
And yeah, I'll wait for someone to call me out on tOSU at #3, but we're probably returning somewhere around 20 starters, so yeah, go ahead. (And Rivals apparently agrees with me there)
Top 5 for the Heisman..
1) Tim Tebow 2) Chase Daniel 3) Pat White 4) Chris Wells 5) Graham Harrell
Reason Wells is No. 4, is because Harrell will get the system QB crap that Brennan constantly gets.

You can make a case for OSU anywhere from 3 on down to 7, depending on who makes the jump to the league. I think your Heisman list is pretty accurate, IMO. Although White/Slaton could cancel each other out, leaving the door open for a Bradford or Reesing-type.

I'd move Wells to five, mainly because Reesing will be getting some Heisman attention. My top 5 is: 1.) Steve Slaton 2.) Tim Tebow 3.) Chase Daniel 4.) Todd Reesing 5.) Beanie Wells

I think a lot of you on here are way too high on WVU, Slaton and White.

1) Tim Tebow 2) Chase Daniel 3) Sam Bradford 4) Chris Weels 5) Graham Harrell I think a lot of you on here are way too high on WVU, Slaton and White. If Slaton and White had the kind of year they had in 2006, they will in essence cancel each other's votes out.
