You're stepping on the wrong toes here. How exactly is Saban a "snake oil salesmen?" He's produced at MSU (Citrus Bowl is producing at MSU, make no mistake about it) and won a national championship with LSU, a school that hadn't done such a thing since Ike was in office. He gets kids to the NFL. So your point about the coach having no substance is lacking. Good try though. LMAO Bama, after all of the shit Saban has on him do you really want to go down that road? I've always thought of a "snake-oil salesmen" as someone pushing a false product. Saban certainly doesn't do that. Plus, what exactly does he have on him? The NFL thing? It's not like he picked up and left mid-season. It's not even like his teams were awful. The Dolphins were a bad situation as we've seen. I'm not saying he didn't mess up, but that's pretty much all the ammo you've got. Don't go down this road...I will win.

Based on Joe Tiller, a snake-oil salesman is someone who takes committed prospects from your school.. That's what JTR was probably aiming for, but I guess you didn't hear that story..

I hadn't, but that's recruiting boys. They're not committed until they sign their name on the LOI.

So, letting 32 recruits sign LOI's when he only has room for 25 isn't pushing a false product?

Haha. You know there are academic casualties and baseball defections every season. 32 isn't a crazy number. You'll see a lot of classes go over. So basically what I'm saying is...this is not a big deal at all.

So basically what I'm saying is...this is not a big deal at all. It is a big deal considering most schools get away with it because of players enrolling early so that they count towards the previous year's 85 schollie total... which begs the question how many players enrolled early from the #1 class?

I don't know, but since it's not against the rules, it's still not a big deal. Not to mention with a few scholarship drops we've had this off season, very few would have done that. 3 aren't coming form the class, and we still have one question mark. 4 players out. So that leaves 2 players not in the 25 scholarship limit for this class. Jimmy Johns gone...leaves 1! Explain to me how that's a big deal. You know, considering it's legal to do it anyway. Alabama's going to get away with it. Good for us!

Alabama's going to get away with it. Good for us! Yeah... bro, Jimmy Johns leaving has no effect on how many you can take for the 25 limit for this class. He opens an extra scholarship, but there's still an NCAA rule stating that you can only enroll 25 scholarship players per year. If you have 4 players out, you still need 3 to enroll early.. (Your confusing me a bit though Bama. Do you mean 4 players out from the recruiting class or off of the team?)

Four out of the recruiting class. Three for sure and one probable enough for me to claim him as done. Which leaves 27 signees to join the team of 25. So you'd only have to enroll two early in order to make everyone have a spot.
Yeah you're right about Johns, oversimplifying it to the point of making it wrong. Open up for next year at the very least.

I meant that people basically think Saban, like RichRod, is scum. Hence the "snake oil salesman" thing.

5* DT William Campbell decommits from UM.. could be a crippling loss for their DL. Don't buy the hype. As Chis put it "he just said he's decommitted so he can take his visits, get free shit and chase hot bitches on other campuses." He's still a Michigan solid. I'm not worried. Robb-we're really happy about Tate. Solid recruit and a great consolation prize after losing Kevin Newsome. Oh yeah and we just got 4* NJ DE Anthony Lalota.
