Hmm.... I wonder why you say that.... Look, he's already off the bandwagon and MSU hasn't even lost yet. Yeah Spartan. I love listening to all the anti-Kansas people badmouthing Kansas. Think there's bias involved there? Yikes. It's no different than bias over UM-OSU or Alabama/Auburn, if you're a fan of one of those teams. Kansas is the weakest one seed, but they'll likely make a decent run because of their draw. Doesn't mean they are better than OSU, Fla, etc. They might have beaten BC and the Gators, but also have losses to Oral Roberts and DePaul in which they looked terrible. They lost to ORU at Allen Fieldhouse, supposedly a tough place to play. I'm betting KU has a game a la Oral Roberts in the tourney. They'll get killed by anyone decent, especially if they can't hit shots.

Yeah teams can lose home games, but you can't tell me having a biased crowd is going to help Kansas. My thought on Kansas more comes from the fact UCLA will force them to play a halfcourt game. Kansas to me seems to want to play transition and run the court. UCLA will slow down the game and defense will lift them over Kansas. That's what I think will happen but I do know Kansas is really good.
Oh and we all have our biases that effect our picks. I've had Alabama in the Sweet 16 of every tourny except last year (had them losing to UCLA, which they did). So yeah, bias effects our picks.

Obviously. I put MSU in the Elite Eight last year and completely screwed myself.

I remember back in Chris Paul's final year I had Wake Forest winning it all and they were upset in the second round.

Kansas to me seems to want to play transition and run the court. UCLA will slow down the game and defense will lift them over Kansas. That's what I think will happen but I do know Kansas is really good. If they are able to slow Kansas down the game will go to Self...if he lets Collins play KU will win in a half court game; if not, they lose. The other problem for UCLA is that Kansas matches up very very well against them. Affalo is going to have a nightmare, the same on Durant now has, named Brandon Rush. If you can, go back and watch Both games Texas vs Kansas in both Julian Wright starts out guarding Durant and just gets owned. In the second game Rush started guarding him at about the 7min mark in the first half, after Durant was 8-11 for 21 points against Wright. Of that 8-11 (73%) 1 miss was a layup in the first 20 seconds where Rush blocked Augustine, then blocked Durant. "Durant got his first shot swatted," from ESPN's recap. The rest of the first he went 0-3 with 1 point. The second he went 4-14 (28.5%) with 15 points, 7 were free throws and Rush only fouled him 1 time. In OT he was 0-2 and didn't score. (21% shooting against Rush) I haven't really broken down the first game yet, but I bet I can find where Wright left off and Rush picked up. My favorite moment was a turnover on an Augustine pass where Durant mishandled the easy pass because his head was already turned around looking for where Rush was going to be when he caught the ball. EDIT: " let a pass squirt through his hands" from ESPN's recap of the game...that would be the play I mentioned.

Interesting stats on Rush vs Durant. I'm actually going to take that into consideration. I'm still torn about that game, but I don't care for Kansas so it pushes UCLA ahead.

lol yea I give the pro KU stats, I have them winning it all... as far as you sig pic, want some anti Oden/pro Durant stats...
Durant avgs more points, rebounds, assists, and steals... Yes he averages more Rebounds 11.3 to 9.7 a game. Longer rant on this one already posted somewhere else I think.

Bad news for Marquette, but if history repeats itself, George Mason was without Tony Skinn in their first round game against MSU, not to say Marquette is George Mason, but I still think they have a chance to beat the Spartans.

Mason had Jai Lewis and Folarin Campbell. Marquette....?
Anyways, I have settled on my bracket. Kansas, Florida, Georgetown and Texas A&M are my Final Four with Kansas taking down Gtown in the championship, 68-63.

EDIT: " let a pass squirt through his hands" from ESPN's recap of the game...that would be the play I mentioned. This is actually a pretty fair assessment. I think that if you force KU into a halfcourt game, you can limit them offensively. Contrary to what people think, they aren't a very good rebounding team. We (Mizzou) played them in Lawrence, and outrebounded them, and our bigs aren't very good. Playing in a weak Big 12 North skews the stats a bit. Sasha Kaun is basically a placeholder, and that's it for their bigs. If you force the guards to play halfcourt, you've got a serious advantage over them, and that's not just UCLA, that's ANY team they face. I'll agree that Rush might be the Big 12's best on-ball defender. Still, when this team struggles shooting, they are in trouble. They don't have the inside game to make up for a bad shooting night.

DB, your final 4 sets up the exact same way as mine, no joke. And Marquette has Dominic James who is pretty good.

It's not the 1/16. It's the 1/Play-in. Kansas SHOULD roll. Now, would I like to see the Niagra Purple Eagles kick Kansas ass? You bet your last dollar I would. But will they should be a given. FACT. Haha Niagara? Are you serious? Florida A&M is going to go MEAC on their ass. Rim Rattlers all the way! i got famu tonight, they should be able to ride the momentum of the buzzer beater to win the game during the weekend to win tongiht only to get manhandled by kansas. Hell yeah. I win. Also, I know about DJ, but I just think Neitzel can match his production and if we can hold the rest of their team in check, it should be ours to lose.

I've got Texas A&M over UCLA in my real bracket, and Duke over Washington State in my upset bracket.
