I am playing on the default sliders and I seem to only be winning by 1 or 2 points every game.
I also don't see that many cross overs or a lot of ways to get open... do I have to call a play every single time to free people up unlike 2k7 where I just had to make some crossovers?

I haven't had many close games but I went on the 2kShare and found some sliders I liked. I try and run a pick and roll every so often but I do pass more and post up to get some easy point. Cross overs and spins do help though

How do you spin? I can only get some lame change hand cross over every single time.

You have to call plays, you can't just play like you used to on past versions.

How do you use the lock on stick? I don't get how to use it.

The D-lock is used with your left trigger when your person has the ball (and hold it but it will only work if your defending the person with the ball in the hand) To do a spin, press Y , Y while crossing the ball over. If you are still having some problems. There should be a tutorial that you should try since it will unlock an achievement (for your 360) as well if completed -|2uff

Do I just hold it and let the computer do the rest? or do I move the sticks to steal or something?

Do I just hold it and let the computer do the rest? or do I move the sticks to steal or something? I just hold onto it and your character just moves along with the person he's defending. I think the D-Lock stick is too effective at times and unrealistic because I can have a slow big man guarding a speed PG.

The D-Lock doesn't steal for you and if you try and steal the ball, the D-Lock is then broken and you need to manually run back to get the player you were defending.
It is kind of crazy but when I have bigger guys on quick guys, they can pass them pretty easily if a good cross over or spin move is applied.

I picked this game up last night and it took me quite a while to get to understand the ABL part in Legacy but the overall gameplay I like. Its runs like NBA which is really smooth.

yea, the ABL part is a part that I didn't understand either but it is something that can be understood if you just sim to the end and get to that point again.
It's a really well developed game in my opinion and should be a game anyone should try if they enjoy NCAA basketball (or NCAA sports for that matter).

CH2k8 is the best sports game I've ever played on the 360, right in front of Ch2k7.

use ur post moves and ur big men, it helps a lot when u cant score on certain plays. Ive had games where I had to totally trash any plays I was calling and just starting running fast breaks and I came back and won, just do whatever is working.

The CPU will sometimes go through spurts where it can do nothing wrong, but this version actually forces you to play basketball, no fluff or cheese.
I like it that way.

I really need to start playing CH again. Now that I have my new NCAAFB dynasty rolling over at DSM, I can play some CH2k8 and relax.

The way it plays out is weird to me. Ok - I'm playing with Southern against Auburn (no I didn't expect to win - but should have). We're up by seven points at halftime, then all of a sudden, we come out in the second half looking like a junior high basketball program. We threw away two inbound passes back to back, the guy threw the ball in, but it just rolled on the floor.
It's like they take away your skills or something....I don't know, it's weird. if we're gonna lose, let us lose. Don't fill us with false hopes and a small lead and then all of sudden we miss 10 shots in a row - the same shots we hit in the first half.
It's seems weird to me. We haven't really gotten blown out, but still.....it's annoying. I don't want to adjust my sliders to much, then I'll feel like I'm cheating. lol
