the Texas/A&M game was amazing last night. Probably the loudest game I've been to other than after Acie Law hit the 'shot' a couple of years ago. The game had everything...near fights/ejections/watermelon yells/hard screens/ and finally we won an important game. It's good to see KSU beat Kansas too!

I think Ill start a thread for every game I go to from now on. Well, Ban, nobody cares about GT ball. They are the bastard child of the ACC. The game was pretty good overall. They started out well, but then they tried to play like Memphis and that wasn't wroking for them. Coach Penders likes to run, but Memphis was a little faster and the jump shot (Memphis) was money. Maybe Penders will get win 600 against UCF....

And I agree with david about the CUSA...they're a crappy conference in football and basketball. They're on the rise though since most of their athletic programs are young but when it comes to college hoops- only Memphis will represent the CUSA in the NCAA tourney while U of H might get an NIT bid.

And that's your opinion, dude. I just thought it was cool to see Derrick Rose live and in person.
Ryan, I'm glad you had fun at the game.

I was surprised no one had mentioned KSU until Ryan did.
KU is a great team, but they don't have a "star" player like KSU does, and they have two.
However, this might be Kansas State's best shot at an NCAA Tournament bid in awhile. They'll get in, but after Beasley and Walker leave for the NBA this season, there isn't much left.

Beasley is sick. He's better than Durant was IMO.

I think Beasley is the best player in the nation and with Walker alongside of him, they could very well make a run into the tourney. But like bearcat said, they don't have much after those two guys so next year might be an uphill battle.

Changed our tune have we? Blaze, I don't know why you're so worried about K-State. Beasley's played against pretty crappy competition to this point, so it's skewed. If you can slow him down, you have an excellent chance to win. They're not as good as the polls indicate.

They just have the better individual talent. KSU's still too inconsistent for my tastes though. BTW, I'm starting to agree with david about Beasley being better than Durant from last year. Once Beasley started developing an outside shot, I knew he would be a better player overall.
