I would have loved the upset if I didn't have Xavier in the Elite Eight.

Made a last-minute switch to Temple, then Michigan State goes out and wins.
Whoops.

Lol, I still dont get it. Everyone loves upsets, loved GMU, but in every forum I post at, very few people were rooting for UGA during this game. Makes little sense to me. Uh, had them in the Elite 8 so nope didn't want the upset.

Sep, here's why I wanted Xavier to win over Georgia. Last year, UGA spent $61,583,868 on its athletic programs. Xavier spent $11,437,131. Enough said.
On another note, what happened to Kent State?

So programs that are good at other sports besides basketball, cant be cinderella's in the tourney? That makes a lot of sense.

They can, but people won't like 'em as much cause they're majors, and people love the mid-majors that nobody's ever heard of before. Why do you care so much whether or not people love your team?

I (apparently along with others) just want to see a program that isn't a powerhouse in everything it tries, and doesn't have millions to throw at whatever program they so desire, make it over a program that could use the money and the exposure.
Xavier, I know, isn't the best example of that, and they are kinda in my Final Four, but forgetting the brackets I would have rooted for my A-10 homeslices either way.
Well Pitt's handling their business fairly easy.

Well Pitt's handling their business fairly easy. As they should. I think it's safe to say anyone who picked against them is probably mentally retarded. Coming in that hot, they better win.

Picking against State blew up like each forced bucket Temple took. These second slate haven't been as good, really Kentucky-Marquette is the real only game within single digits at the moment.
Excited for tonight, and I'm looking at 2 wrong right now. With kent and Temple just not showing up to shoot.

Baylor plays zero defense. I'm honestly wondering why they're in the NCAA's after losing to the worst team in the Big 12 in the league tournament.
That was an easy pick for me.

I never really understood the Temple pick.
I know MSU is inconsistent at times, but I didn't even hesitate.

I know MSU is inconsistent at times, but I didn't even hesitate. I have them going to the FF in DC pool just for the hell of it. You never know for them in the tourney. I didn't expect the '05 team to go but they did and I'm not sold on Memphis. Pitt, I just picked over them because they were hot and I think they'll fizzle. Who knows.

And I didn't mean I wasn't expecting a win, but I wasn't expecting a blowout. I know. I forgot the . Once we get away from the Big 10 we do fine. BTW- Ed Hightower needs to be fired. I do not see how this guy is called "one of the best officials in the game". 33 free throws for Xavier, 5 for Georgia. This guy is absolutely awful.

Did you even watch the game? georgias defense was basically hacking guys as they got burned off the dribble. As soon as xavier started making free throws, they went ahead. Plus they fouled a bunch at the end of the game when they got behind, and georgia never tried to drive in order to draw fouls. On another note, werent you going off about mich st. being terrible just over a week ago?
