Banner Contest Pictures

The Banner Contest topic is going to be Roger Clemens. He is a 10 time All-Star, 7 time Cy-Young Winner, 1 time MVP, as well as having over 300 Wins and over 4,000 career SO. He is an all around great baseball player, and future Hall Of Famer.

I have chosen 3 pictures of him, and it is up to you which picture will be the mandatory picture in the banner. You are welcome to use all 3 as well as pictures from him on other teams, but of these 3 one will be mandatory.

I think that you should let them use whatever images they want. Makes it more interesting.

OK fine. Use any of the 3 in this thread. I am going to make a qucik dynasty page because I am probably going to have too many banners to post just on the forums. I will tell you all when I get it up, and I will have the rules, and date when the banners must be in by.

Anyway, don't you think that six days is a long time until you post the poll? I mean, once you get the poll up it'll be another couple days before the contest is over...

Yeah true. Maybe I'll shorten it depending on how many banners I get sooner.

Is there a minimum size? Because I already am pretty far into mine, and it's more of a sig size than a banner size.

I would say 400 in width seems good and 100 in height is a good minimum in size for a banner. I banner is like a sig anyway just used to promote sites. I think the term signature same from forums to have your own person identity on a forum, to tell you apart from other people... So yea.. that is just my thought as well

There is no minimum size, but if you make it too small it probably wont look good. But anyway no there isnt a minimum size.

It is. I made my entry before the guidelines were posted and I was under the impression that we were making a signature. Since I make all my signatures at 300x80, mine is much smaller than a standard DC banner which is normaly about 500 x 80-150.

OK I already have recieved 3 banners for the contest so I am going to push up the due date for this. The new time will be midnight on Tuesday the 16th!
I have also already chosen the judges for the competition. They will be Sep, Freak, and myself. I am still working on how the judging will go but I will have a criteria, and we will factor in the votes from the DC members.

P.S. The banners I have received so far are all amazing so anyone else who is planning on entering better step up their game if they want to win!

I only have 4 banners in so far. Deadline is Tuesday night so get those banners in quick.
