That's right, *******, I'll be the first on the site (that I know of, anyway), to know the interworkings of Macromedia Flash, in addition to my already-extensive experience with Adobe Photoshop, ImageReady, Microsoft's FrontPage 2003 and xPress, manual HTML, Java, CSS, and a little PHP. I've been dying to learn Flash, and my chance has just recently came up in Web Design class. Here's the story:
Day 1 of Web Design, as expected, was easy. You know, you introduce yourself to everyone in the class (which was stupid, because their were only ten people in there, and I know all but two of them). Anyway, after doing a little project on manual HTML, my teacher came up to me after class, and asked me if I wanted to learn Flash. I immediately said yes, of course... From then on, he's been going on about how I can skip these lessons on HTML because I already know them, and he's letting me learn Flash all by myself, using a published tutorial-book. So all period I sit there making little animations (which I will one day use to my advantage; the only thing I want to learn at this point is more PHP and movie-editing).
Can anyone top this?

- Photoshop - Imageready - VB.net - SQL - ASP.net - Oracle - Open GL - Flash - Dreamweaver - Fireworks - HTML - Java (not much but enough) - CSS - (more in the future)
I hope to start up with my school on their web-site as they take me through some stuff and I hope to improve my Flash skills through this as well.
Congrats Bravest and I think you will do just fine in that class

PS I think my Dartmouth Site had the first works of flash in it. The buttons I made for that site was flash made. Just thought i would share :-D

Before I found the whole DC thing, my friends and I attempted to figure out how to make flash movies (we were already pretty good at movie editing...of course script writing and acting were a much different story), but we all kind of lost interest after the trial ran out. I can still do simple animation on it, just no web layouts and stuff.

I know an Eagles fan who used Flash on his site a lot. He has gotten real good. If I can find the link to his site I will share it with you. But, your sites are already good, now with Flash, they will be even better.

Today I learned how to add links... Keep in mind that I just started re-learning Flash (after losing interest in eighth grade), so I'm still working on the basics, including tiny animations and inserting keyframes and tweens, etc.
Message board-production has always come easy for me (designing, at least). I just learned some vBulliten, and I'm already fluent with ProBoards, which just happens to be the easiest to maintain.

Maybe its just me, but I know nothing about flash. Could someone show me an example of what it would look like?

www.seahawks.com/ is another. Note the top story box at the top... About the Trotter site: I could do the overall design with FrontPage in a second, but adding Flash is what takes time.

Bravest, are you going to be making any flash movies for your site?

Most definately. I plan on incorporating a lot of Flash into my newer dynasties, just so you guys can really see what I've been doing when I'm not publishing a dynasty.

it'll take a while to master it. Don't expect long flash movies or really complex layouts from bravest for a while, but once he gets good...it'll be cool flash is a lot of work though, it'll take a lot longer than any other dynasty site you've done

I've pretty much mastered the tween (I'm in web design right now... 5 minutes left until lunch, thank god) and inserting images to my liking, so now the only thing I'm dying to learn is linking to different objects and using hovers on them. Wish me good luck.

I loved the flash movies that accompained the Tampa Bay Bucs during their Super Bowl run a few years ago. Hilarious.
