Well, I feel like I need to update my portfolio again and my sig section is good but I think I need another wallpaper to make and I thought I would give all of you a chance to post ideas. Here are the rules:
1. Please name a major sporting event played in America (NCAA BB, FB, MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL) and the team.
2. Write a short paragraph (a sentence or so) about why you think your team you picked should be made as a wallpaper (please think about it before posting. Entries that say only "Because..." or something just like that, I will ignore.
3. If someone has placed a team you like or wanted, please do not post something saying: "Yea, what he said" or something like that or It probably won't be made.
4. Once all the entries have been submited, I will place them in this thread on a new post and the votes will be organized like DC championship with a gold silver and bronze to pick. All three will be made but will go in the order from Gold being the first and bronze being last made.
5. The date when submiting an entry will be over will be 12:00pm Saturday. Voting will be set at 12:01pm (or so) and voting will end around Sunday afternoon or so (depending on how well the voting goes).
6. Any questions, Please PM me and not post it on this thread. I am happy to answer any questions about this thread but I would like this thread to be only used for entries and voting.
Thanks and Hope to see some Great Entries!

1. USC - College Football 2. Overated? I think not... Now's the time to congratulate and enjoy the kind of great football program that we have on our hands, no matter if you hate them or love them. Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush are simple amazing, and they most definately are worthy of a wallpaper.
Is that an acceptable application? To be honest, I wouldn't use the wallpaper... I just think that they're the perfect college football team to use in this situation (great team colors, presentable and well-known players).

Doesn't have to be a team you would use... just something you would like to see done.. Keep them coming and Bravest's entry is what I like to see |2uff

Team-New York Yankees
Reason-With the playoffs approaching, and especially the AL race that is going on I think they would be good. Plus with all the hype over how the Yankees are overpayed, and all that I'd like to see a wallpaper that shows that even though many dislike them that they are still the greatest spots franchise ever.

I'll make another, because I'm reading a history book based on them, and I'm learning to respect them more and more... 1. Miami - College Football 2. They crafted one of the best (if not the best) college football programs out of absolutely nothing. By battling it out with Florida State and Florida for the top recruits in the south Miami area for decades, they've earned their spot in the sport's elite. The team's best include Ray Lewis, Jeremy Shockey, Warren Sapp, and a few hundred handfuls of others. They've broken records as a team that mortalized teams can only dream of... By developing NFL stars and cranking them into the draft, they've turned a simple ball game into a battleground, one where young, aspiring teens morph into capable pro players.

1. Penn State Nitty Lions - College football 2. There rich history is alone enough to deserve a wall paper. And now it looks like Derick Williams and Justin King are bringing back the program to a powerhouse.

Ok, I'll give it a shot.
Team - Green Bay Packers Why? - They were probably the best team back in the 60's, when they won so often. After Lombardi died, the team took a serious slide. But in the 90's, they revived behind the pure determination of Brett Favre and a great supporting cast/defense. Even now, they are a team to fear in the NFC (If you don't count their 0-3 record this year.) Plus, it's called Titletown, which is such a cool name and should be fit in somewhere.

Well, I'm going to break your rules, jsut because of something I'd like to see.
Reggie White
Not only was he the best Defensive End to play the game, but he was an even better man. A dark sig, with maybe a spotlight on a locker of his, or on himself, would simply be beauful. Preferably with the Eagles, just because I liked him in his Eagles days.
If you don't accept it, I understand, but I think it'd really be great.

Paragraph's are usually longer than one sentence Well, you right but if you read my post you have noticed I said next to paragraph: so his entry is exceptable. Also about the Reggie White entry, I am fine with it but I would rather stick with teams since it might hit a larger crowd and I love Reggie White don't get me wrong. I am still excepting it as a valid entry. |2uff

Thanks to those who gave great ideas for Wallpapers now I need your votes. Just like DC championship, I need a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place votes for this and only one vote per user.
Also anyone who stated a team can still vote and vote for their pick as well.
Thanks again and take care
