Xbox 2 and PS3 are going through development and not much time will be spent on the little details that Madden has been so good at touching up on every year like normal. I have a feeling that Madden '05 to '06 is going to be the same as NBA '03 to '04, j/ boring.
Granted, Madden on Xbox2 is going to look as real as two old married men bickering over the weather, theres little doubt about that, but is '06 going to be worth the by for Xbox users who cant get the updated rosters(Because ps2 can update the rosters and it be good as new)?
In all actuality, I was hoping Madden would try and show up ESPN with it's halftime show and join up with JB, Terry, Howy, and Jimmy for the Fox13 show..... sumthing good like that, but guess not.
And another thing.... wut happened to the old coaches being on the market.... I dont see George Seifert or Dick Jaruan, no Mike Ditka anywhere....

LOL, I know about the filter, but it makes "Thingy Jauron"...hahaha
I'm stuck with PS2 for a while, my dad is out of a job, so when PS3 and Xbox2 come out, I'm gonna have to wait a while, because odds are that it's gonna be a little out of my price range. I'm leaning toward Xbox2 over PS3, but I don't know yet.
I agree, 06 probably won't be a good year for Madden...and yeah, why don't we get FOX? Ah, but the problem with FOX is, Madden works for ABC with Michaels. So why don't they just get the ABC license, you ask? Well ABC is owned by Disney which also owns ESPN. Thus, a major conflict.
I've been one to say they should just get rid of Madden and Michaels, and bring in the FOX or CBS guys. "FOX NFL Sunday 2006" would be sweet, and Madden is a great commentator in reality, but in the game, he sucks. "He got hit so hard, he had to take a taxi back to the stadium." WTF?
So here's one vote for "EA Sports FOX NFL Sunday 2006".

Here's my ultimate plan idea....
Sega Sports/ESPN Videogames, get Madden/Michaels for 2K6 and the rest of their football franchises, so here's what they do...They make a Sunday NFL Countdown, have the guys talk, then on the Monday NFL Countdown, talk to a "Virtual" John Madden (Oh God!), like they do in real life, then they have Madden/Michaels do the Monday games in your franchise. On the Sunday games, keep Dan Stevens and Peter O'Keefe.
Then for EA Sports, rename it like suggested...EA Sports FOX NFL Sunday 2006, have JB, Howie, Terry, and Jimmy, do their pregame show, then have one of the pair of announcers from NFL Games on Sundays. And get all the FOX copyrights, and all that stuff, to make it the ultimate football game.
;D ;D

EA Sports FOX NFL Sunday 2006 is a little long, but I think the theme idea is a great one.
Maybe just FOX NFL 2006?

If Madden dies, they'll have no choice but to change the games name. I say someone attends a monday night football game, accidently assisinate John Madden, stick a letter in his pocket of his final will being that he wants his game to be changed to wut's been sugested, and we get the All-Time Greatest Football game we've longed for so long.
If not, he'll fall sooner or later. by 2010, it'd be like having Summeral NFL 2005, graveyard comentary with some old dude trying to stay atop the hill.

Being realistic...the first madden games to grace the new systems will probably be the 07 titles...
Xbox 2 and PS3 are both looking at late 05 early 06 arrivals, so don't be on Madden 2006 for ps3.

You guys don't know that Madden didn't extend his contract with EA though. So next year, I believe, is the last year they'll call it "Madden 20##". There's not many details out now, but that's what I've heard. There's no set name or commentators, so EA will be rebuilding the game a bit, basically like what ESPN did when they were NFL 2k.

If Madden doesn't end up extending the contract with EA, they'll just go to Fox and get Frank Caliendo to do his impersonation of Madden for the game. ;D

When Madden leaves EA, I'll hold a celebratory parade. Madden>>>>>>>> O'Keefe and the other f**. Although Madden is a pretty bad commentator in the game, he won a Super Bowl. *Does Carlito Carribean Cool impression* Now that's cool.

John Madden is a fat fuck with chubby legs, 5 chins, and eats too much Turkey. Oh hell- he eats too much period. He also drinks too much Hi-C.
