They dont give Ben Roethlisberger the oppertunity to make mistakes because he doesnt touch the ball in the fourth quarter. Look at his superbowl statistics and tell me that you dont think that atleast half of the starters in the NFL could have played a little better in the biggest game of their career.
Jake Delhomme & Byron Leftwhich put there teams into position to win games. Maybe Delhomme didn't show that in week one, but nobody would have against that Falcon defense. There clutch. Ben Roethlisberger is replaceable, and Charlie Batch proved that. He's better than any quarterback who's played for the Detroit Lions yes, but he's no Top 5 Quarterback. Absolutely not.
If you explanation of a good quarterback is the player who puts his team in position to win, no Quarterback has won more games since they became the starter than Byron Leftwhich in Jacksonville. A 12-4 team with 2 losses to the Indianapolis Colts. If I can recall correctly, the Steelers almost missed the playoffs last year, that not exactly putting your team in position to win lol.

Jake Delhomme is not a good quarterback. He is a good leader. His leadership is the best talent he has right now. He's getting up there in age, and I'd say around the 2008 or 2009 draft we should seriously take our quarterback of the future.
