Not to mention the NFC is crap. No offense to the Bears, but when their the top team in the conference, by a wide margin, the conference blows.

AFC EASY. I mean I am a Bears fan, but until Grossman gets more consistent we're the 4th or 5th best team in the NFL, behind the Colts, the Chargers, the Patriots, and maybe the Ravens. That's 4 better teams in the AFC before the best in the NFC, so its a clear reason to why the AFC is better.

I think the NFC has more widespread talent across the board. But the AFC does have much better teams.

The Lions alone bring the NFC's rep way down.

AFC by a very wide margin.

Well lets see...
SB 40 :: Pittsburgh SB 39 :: New England SB 38 :: New England SB 37 :: Tampa Bay SB 36 :: New England SB 35 :: Baltimore SB 34 :: St.Louis SB 33 :: Denver SB 32 :: Denver SB 31 :: Green Bay
Just in the last 10 years, the own the NFC 7-3. I was surprised last season when the NFC actually won the pro-bowl. Usually the AFC kills us in that also.

The Super Bowl doesn't necessarily decide which league's tougher.

Really?
You don't think it's funny that people think that the AFC is better and that they happen to have won more Super Bowls than the NFC. Why would that not be evidence to as why their better?

The Super Bowl doesn't necessarily decide which league's tougher. This is true...and I'll conduct a study tomorrow evening and get back to with the results on which league is better!

Could it be that the teams are so strong in the NFC that they happen to not appear so strong on paper because they are playing each other? Someone should take a look at the AFC vs. the NFC this season and include the teams from the NFC and AFC you're looking at (the Lions are a bad example for the NFC) and perhaps that'd be a better use of proof as to who is better. An NFC team beat the best AFC team but two AFC teams defeated the best NFC team..one of those teams not even being a very good team in the AFC.
I'm too lazy to look this stuff up and yea the Super Bowl is a bad thing to use as proof for who's better simply because in 5 of those 10 seasons you posted and 5 of the 7 AFC teams were the just two teams (NE 3, DEN 2) which only shows how dominant they were, not the AFC.

2002: AFC 34-29-1 2003: AFC 34-30 2004: AFC 44-20 2005: AFC 34-30 2006: AFC 31-20
Also, teams like Miami, Tennessee, and KC, who have a combined 6-15 vs. the AFC are 10-2 vs the NFC.
Also, only two teams in the NFC have a winning record over the AFC at the moment, Dallas and Carolina. 8 teams in the AFC have a winning record.
