I cant find a link anywhere but on Jim Rome is Burning, apparently the Falcons might trade Michael Vick to the Raiders for some draft picks.
Let me just say, I like the guy, but he has proven that we aren't going anywhere with him. So im not exactly mad that this could happen.
Hopefully its true and we do trade him, I cant wait to start the Matt Schaub era.

I would think that this would be a good move for the Falcons. Cause I think that Shaub is a better passer and the only thing that Vick gives you is the ability to run. With all that being said, I think that Rome is blowing smoke out of his ass. This is the reason why I never watch Rome. For the first time in Vick's career we all can actually say, with visual proof, that that Vick has had absoulutely no help from his WRs. They're horrible. Those are passes that my sister could catch. And also the fact that Jim Mora is always so high on Vick. If Atl was looking to trade Vick it'd make no sense to do it now.

He says things like this to get people riled up...it's what gets people to watch his show. That said, it's a good move, if it goes down.

I HATE Jim Rome and his biased opinions- who wants to here some guy rant about how bad teams and players are. It's useless. Plus they when they host "The Forum" session, the guest are ridiculous especially the guy who to do Blind Date. Might as wll put a mic and camera on me so I can rant how bad the Raiders are and what I would do to fix them. That would be entertainment lol.
Other than that, the Raiders can use this trade. Atlanta will be improved because Shuab will ignite a legitimate passing game and Oakland will have their much needed playmaker. They might as well trade Jerry Porter for Vick as part of the deal. I think if the Raiders draft Brady Quinn, the kid will not be as great as he was in college.

How 'bout getting some decent recievers before you blame everything on Vick? Schaub is going to make the Falcons 100% worse if he ever steps in permanently.

Vick. Easily.
His ability to run just makes him the better football player. You can't double team one of their recievers, because he could take off and get a massive gain, and if they had recievers who could actually catch, then they couldn't just watch him for the run everytime. Schaub is the most imobile man I've ever seen.

Schaub looks like he could be good, but Atlanta seems to have this wet dream of pairing Vick up with a different "playmaker" WR every year, all of whom suck. Peerless Price fizzled, they drafted Michael Jenkins in the first round, who is like 6'5 but also SLOW, and he's nothing but a red zone threat. Roddy White was touted as a playmaker last year, but I haven't seen much production out of him. Now they got Ashley Lelie, whom I thought had the best chance of working out, because he did have a couple of nice seasons in Denver playing opposite Rod Smith and a run oriented offense. Lelie hasn't really produced either.
So all Vick's really got is Alge Crumpler. I would like to blame Atlanta's front office for getting him bad WRs to play with, but it seems hard to fathom that they could screw up trying to make 4 guys legit #1 WRs for Vick to throw to. The Falcons aren't the Detroit Lions.
I would be interested to see if Schaub could better incorporate those guys into the offense, but for all of the knocks on Vick, if he wins a Super Bowl, you can't complain. The Falcons have a better chance to win with him in the lineup, because he's always a threat to make a huge play.

Charles Rogers started off his rookie season great, too, but I think after his first two seasons were injury riddled he just lost it.

Then he started smoking pot, yes. That was the end of him.
He's on drugs, Mike Williams is fat. Roy Williams is the only one of those receivers who worked out.

The Atlanta Falcons are overrated. Give Vick people who actually are decent and he'll be as good as projected.

The Falcons drafted Michael Vick because he was a Star. He was a star because he used his ability to his advantage. The Falcons havn't done that, so it's unfair to call him overated.
You would't play Champ Baily at Defensive End, you wouldnt tell Chad Johnson to block everydown, you wouldn't run the ball 40 times with Peyton Manning at Quarterback, so why would you keep Michael Vick from playing to his true potential.
Ryan Leaf was overated, but he showed no talent or promise whatsoever. If a team can use Michael Vick for what he's worth, you've got the player we've all been wanting to see since Virginia Tech played FSU in the Title Game. The most impressive player in the game.

The "over-rated" pretty much stemmed from being on the cover of 04, despite not proving much of anything. Then everyone in the world learned his couldn't throw accurately and he pretty much destroyed Peerless Price's career.
But as it's been stated, the personnel doesn't add up for them to succeed...
