The Saints are beating Dallas 42-17 right now, and if it holds up they'll be in line for a first round bye if they can win out. So how bout them Saints?

I rode Drew Bree through college and during the draft. People shrugged off Drew Brees and I said just wait. Now, he's being called a genious field general and pinnpoint passer. I dont care what you say, the Chargers would have won the superbowl if they kept Brees, traded Rivers for someone, and used Brees-LT properly.
Though he's going to boot me out of my fantasy playoffs, go Drew Brees and the NO Saints. From the Streets to the Superbowl, The story of the '06 New Orleans Saints.

Having Bush and McAllister in the back fields help alot.
I just love their passing game, Colston Henderson Bush... they are pretty damn good !

I'm not a big NFL guy as many of you know, but I thought Brees was a hell of a quarterback at Purdue. After seeing what he has done in New Orleans I believe the Chargers would be better than they are if he stayed in SD. I mean, he's got a 7th rounder as his top WR, an aging Joe Horn, and Henderson as his top three options. Not quite Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne.
The Saints do need to pick it up on defense, because I can't see them beating some of the tougher teams in the playoffs with Fred Thomas as corner. I guess if they can score 42-49 points a game, maybe it won't matter.

Colston is the real story. This guy was like 4th to the last pick in this years draft and now he's amazing. Luckily I got him on my fantasy team and he's racked in the points. Brees, McAllister, and Bush are playing excellent as well, probably one of the most fun teams to watch.

Bush is on pace for 100 catches, McAlister has over 25 already. Give him Charles Johnson or Ted Ginn and he'll make NO the next ARI with two 100catch 1000 yard receivers, than bush with 80catches lol.
I hope Colston keeps up. Donald Driver is another 7th rounder, so give him props if ur giving Colston props.

It's amazing what getting rid of Aaron Brooks and adding Reggie Bush can do for a team. Not to mention the rest of the NFC sucking ****.

As you can see with my first post, the Looter is well pleased with the Saints. The Saints looked like the best team in the NFC last night (well that's not that big of a deal) and well there is Super Bowl talk around here. The Saints and the Super Bowl just doesn't seem right. I personally don't think they'll make it that far, but I'm hoping to at least make the NFC Championship game.

Woot, Woot... Go Saints. Don't worry, David is just mad because Weinke couldn't lead them to victory either.

I'm glad that the Saints are doing well, it's a great story, especially for that city and all of the crap they've been going through.
N2S, I have to disagree on Rivers, though. He's playing at an All-Pro level out in San Diego, and if they kept Brees and tried to get rid of Rivers, the cap hit would probably have been enormous. The Chargers lucked out, certainly. You couldn't ask for much better from Rivers at this point in his first season of starting. But to have such a smooth transition from a good QB like Brees to a new guy, I mean, good work by the front office, but also somewhat lucky that it worked out this way.
Back to the Saints. That is one dynamic offense.....Bush is proving to be a weapon in the passing game, and Colston has been outstanding....talking about a nice 7th round pick. Joe Horn is starting to get creaky, but even as he fades, Devery Henderson is becoming a nice little option for Brees.
Add McAllister in there, and it's hard to find a better offense in the NFC.

Drew Brees is my quarterback for fantasy football, so I cashed in. Terps, I love Henderson. Once Horn is gone, which will probably be sometime in the near future, Henderson will make a great number two receiver.

I think NO right now could make a receiver out of anybody right now. Hell, look what Terrance Copper did when Colston was hurt...

Are you serious? Brees will end up with around 350-360 completions TOTAL this season. So even if he gets to 390ish next year, are you saying that over 80% of those will go to the same three guys? The NFL isn't like Tecmo Super Bowl, unfortunately...

Looks like the Skins are gonna beat dem Saints right now.
Damn, we're gonna clinch the West no matter what today but crap, 10-4 feels better than 9-5. Crappy defense, with no pressure on the quarterback. Sluggish offense and a complete lack of a rushing game. The Saints gotta step it up before the playoffs.

The Skins have actually been playing a lot of good teams real tough since getting blown out to Philly a month or so ago. Ladell Betts has ran over everyone, but yeah the Saints need a bit of work before we can say they have a legitimate chance at taking the NFC...

At this point, does it really matter? The AFC is stronger top-to bottom than the NFC.
