Is it just me or are there a ton of sacks on Madden this year?
I was playing on All-Madden against the Raiders, I'm the Broncos. It's the 4th quarter up 13-0 and the CPU has 8 sacks already, most of them killed my drives forcing a long third down.
Once the 4th quarter rolls around, John Lynch proves the theory that white men can't jump and gives up a touchdown to Porter. With 3 minutes to go, I held a 13-7 lead so I knew I had to score. I get to about midfield, and i can't do anything on the drive because 3 fricken sacks. Oakland goes down to score, I lose 14-13.
I don't know what the problem is, I have pass blocking at it's full and the CPU averages 6 sacks a game. I thought maybe it was because I just had a sucky line but it happens with every team I play with. I basically have no chance on play action or Denver's bootlegs, and I have to rush throws on the others.
I certainly don't mind losing a close game and I know some defenses are good but 11 sacks for the game, averaging 7 per?

i dont seem to have a problem, but thats probably cause im the Falcons, and can use Vick to run away from pressure. however, i dont seem to get the opposite effect where my pass rush istoo strong (e.g. www.dynastywizard.com/news951_385.html)

If the rush is strong from the outside, there will be holes if you step up. It can be a little hard to get used to, because you have to quickly look away from receivers so you don't stupidly run into a defender, but I find this a good way to avoid many sacks.

Use a lot of shotgun formations. I personally don't have a problem with allowing a lot of sacks, but the shotgun should help.

If you notice.... in the stats column at the end of the season, like 26 players have over 10. It is different.
I'm more focused on the 2,000 yard rushers. I hate 4 2,000 yard rushers with LT or Portis rushing for 2,400 lol.

Definitely don't have this problem...ever. I've used Eli, Brad Johnson, Jake Plummer, and Drew Bledsoe in franchise mode and have rarely gotten sacked more than 3 times in a game if ever. Maybe I'm just good at avoiding the pressure but I mean...those guys minus Plummer aren't that mobile.
I also hate the 2,000 yard rushers but Clinton Portis has always seemed to be Madden's lovechild I swear. Doesn't matter what game it's been, he's been the man since 03 or 04.
