im have 2 dogs but Im not going to wreck on Vick. Sure he fucked up big time but he'll learn his lesson and redeem himself. Im not a fan of his but he deserves another chance.
I mean Kobe redeemed himself- why cant Vick. Im at a Joe Horn stance right now (if u listen to his interviews on ESPN)

Yep, getting drunk, killing a lady is much the same. Your right. Little deserved no jail time at all, that was all completely fair. You are correct! Yes sep, we all think everyone should be able to kill other people and not go to jail or be punished in any way. You read us all like a book... Christ sep, I know it's only August, but attempt to wipe the cobwebs off of those couple brain cells and put them to use. You don't have to be able to do math equations or anything with them, just use them to recognize logic and common sense when it's blatantly in front of you. If you could find a single incident of any person in any location ever saying it was ok to kill a man and not go to jail for it or any other punishment, please point it out to us... |

I honestly can't stand dogs, bad memories during my childhood of those stupid bastards. I don't agree with what Vick did at all, however think, if the guy had a chicken fighting ring like stated earlier would there be a huge fuss? Hell no, if it was cat fighting, hell no, I for one thing this is blown way out of proportion. Don't take it to the media and all the shit they have been doing lately. Keep it like many of the things that go down in the NFL, on the down low. Once this got to the media I knew watching sportscenter was going to be worthless for the next few weeks, all they were gonna talk about is this bullshit that is going on.

So....hanging, drowning, and electrocuting animals (with the ability to feel pain like us) is "not bad" because they are animals. The act of dog fighting is cruel, there is no way around that. They starve dogs to make them hungry to fight and maybe get some food. What Vick was behind was getting his jollies off abusing, maiming, and torturing defenseless animals. That is something serial killers do. Blown out of proportion? Please, ignorance like that just blows my mind. To get to your other ludicrous point, roosters fight naturally. It doesn't make it right to fight them, and it's just about as wrong, but it's not like you go and electrocute the chicken if it can't fight. That's the point I think you missed here, it's not just the dog fighting, it's the fact he drowned and electrocuted dogs! If you don't find that sick, then you need some major psychiatric help. *I do realize you said you didn't agree with it, I saw that. I'm pointing out that you seem to be ignoring the gruesome facts surrounding the case. I need to post that, before you give me the normal "I said I didn't agree with it" retort.* |

Don't get me wrong that I think its horrible what he did, I just think that people blew this way out of proportion, if some bum off the streets was doing this no one would still be talking about it. What makes Vick more important then some bum off the streets? Nothing.

The difference between him and a bum is...millions of dollars, many houses (b/c you know...a bum doesn't have anywhere to live), oh and that he is supposed to be a ROLE MODEL for kids everywhere in the US. sep, no one here is arguing that killing humans is terrible. But are you telling me you could sit there and hold a dog's head underwater while it struggles for life, or let it sit there and use a taser or shock a pool of water and watch the animal just die?
If you could, then I would have to say, simply, you're a sick fuck.
For the record I would like to say I think killing dogs is just as cruel as killing a person. I am a dog lover and I just can't fathom killing one.
I have a problem with Vick's apology. I know he's trying to appeal to the judge with his apology, but it seems so insincere to me. If he said it after he came out of the slammer, it would seem a bit more genuine to me. He's apparently been dogfighting for 6 or more years, you can't tell me he 'rejects' it and truly hates it now. It's not like he didn't know what he was doing was illegal, wrong, and incredibly dangerous for the past however many years.
