The Lions were down two touchdowns before Calvin got hurt. They scored 14 points without him and 7 with.
Plus, the Lions offense wasn't much of a problem except for a couple Kitna picks....it was the defense that gave up 56 points. Calvin Johnson does not play defense.

It ain't his fault we lost, but even if he'd played the whole game, the defense still would have been atrocious and we still would have lost by several touchdowns. Your point?

My point is the Lions defense sucks but you're still a lot better off than you were last year.

I think the Lions were just fine without Calvin, Roy Williams had over 200 yards receiving and Kitna threw for almost 500 yards. What difference did Calvin make? Anyway, finally the Lions secondary has been completely exposed.
Speaking of secondary, my Ravens are in big trouble in that department. The no-huddle offense is taking away our substitutions, creative blitzes, and exposing our secondary to big-play physical receivers. Just look at Jerricho Cotchery and Anquan Boldin these past two weeks. Great game planning by Ken Whisenhunt, who already knew our defense pretty well as the former OC for Pittsburgh.
Still, we need to really shore this up because every team is going to attack us with this no-huddle look.

The Packers are amazing and I want to have at least two of Brett Favre's babies.
That is all.

Good Christ we are awful right now. The Falcons could beat the Aints the way they look tonight. I mean, Vince Young is tearing up that defense through the air! On top of that, apparently we forgot all about pass blocking. This is hard to watch.

Oh wow, Brees just got picked....what has happened to New Orleans. They return nearly everyone from last year's squad and are playing like the same ole 'Aints.
It's sad to see after how wonderful they were last year.

They were 10-6 in a very weak division last year. I swear coming into this season with all they hype the were getting you would think they went 14-2. They were riding off emotion last year and may just not be that wonderful after all.

Their best weapon last year was the run, which has been non-existant, and Drew Brees isn't the same guy we say under center last year. The defense has always been susceptible, but instead of the benefit of those 8-10 minute scoring drives eating up the clock, they're out there longer and their weaknesses are exposed. It all starts with Reggie and Deuce...

The Saints aren't sneaking up on anyone this year, that's for sure...

The Saints biggest problem is pass protection. Really the o-line in general because there is no run blocking either. The Saints inability to move the ball is leaving a weak defense on the field way way too long. Hard to watch this year...reminds me of trying to watch this team after Katrina went down. Could be another 3-13 year if the Saints can't right this ship over the bye week. At least we'll get Dorsey if that happens...
I'm keeping the faith we'll pull off a huge miracle and end up 13-3 and in the Super Bowl.

with the NFC in shambles right now (I knew Dallas would be undefeated but Green Bay too?) the saints can rally and make the playoffs as a division leader or a wildcard. They just need to right the ship and fix things while in their bye week,

Everyone else in their division sucks except maybe the Bucs, so the Saints still have a good chance. Losing McAllister hurts, but they still have Bush anyway.

It's really more the way we are losing that is urking me. It is not like we've had two close losses in there or anything, the Saints have been blown out. That is the concern right now. We have two weeks before we have Carolina in the Dome, so at least we have time to get things together and put a team out there that at least has a chance to win the game in the 4th quarter. That's all I'm really looking for right now, being in the game late.
