Damn man I'm scared of this game today. Why? Our offense is without L.J. Smith and has been sucking the massive one all year (minus the Lions game). Because of the people supposedly injured for us. I don't get the game but you do. From what I heard, Vasher, Tommie Harris and Darwin Walker are supposed to be out. Our top two DTs and a good corner is out. I heard for the Eagles its the two tackles, Dawkins (thank god) and L.J. Smith. But... Cedric Benson runs likes he scared. Griese makes plays, to both teams, and our run defense is gonna be lacking without our two DTs. Hopefully they play, but I think the Eagles are gonna win 24-17 |

Dawkins and L.J. Smith are out for sure. I am worried about the offensive line's health. It is going to be interesting to see though with Vasher out. Kevin Curtis has been very streaky and Reggie Brown has been nothing short of a disappointment.
I am glad Tommie Harris is out but Darwin Walker does not scare me one bit. He thinks he is the most amazing defensive tackle ever when he is not. I would have liked for him to play against us. I just wonder now if Reid and company will attempt to take advantage of this. I doubt it, but I can hope at least.

Ravens limp into the bye week with a loss to Buffalo. You heard it here first, this time is not making the playoffs this year and maybe not for a long time. All our opponents our no-huddling, our defense is too old not to substitute, and it doesn't help that we have an offense that can't stay on the field.

The purpose of Darwin Walker in our defensive scheme is to get quick penetration while Harris gets doubled. This makes Walker a priority to be blocked, and Urlacher comes and cleans up. Now with Harris out, we have no one respectable enough to command a double team. Urlacher will continually have guards and fullbacks pull and try to take him out of the game, opening up holes for Westbrook and Co. That's what scares me without Harris.

This team has a long way to go, and we're not getting any younger. Last year was our year to get it done, and we let Indianapolis still the moment. Now, New England is clearly superior over everyone, and will win the AFC. Only a high-powered offense can beat the Patriots because their secondary isn't very strong and they too have an older defense. But the Ravens would be lucky to score thirteen points against them. |
