IIRC, cooljay has been a Pats fan for a while. They've been amazing for a while. I've been a pats fan since they played the pack in super bowl way back so you betta checkity check yourself before you wreckity wreck yoself. |

Loki, what bullshit with the Ravens? You mean the blatantly stupid penalties they took that eventually cost them the game? Have a referee call you a "boy" among other things while you're in a highly anticipated game and see how you react. You got those juices flowing and shit and then some referee is shitting all over you with bullshit penalties and name-calling, and you're going to react the same way. The holding call was garbage as was the 2001 game vs. the Raiders, the assault on the Colts in their many playoff games, their filming and use of that film to cheat, and everything else they've done in the past 8 years. I don't know how many times I saw the Patriots go into the tunnel struggling in the first half and come out and suddenly tear a team up in the second half. Can't imagine why....hmmmm.... You could be simple or a bandwagoner and take the Patriots side without ever looking at the way they play, doesn't matter to me, but don't be so blind to the things the Patriots get away with. |

Should have kept his cool regardless. If your not mentally tough enough to handle being called a boy in the middle of a football game, get the hell off of the field. You've got to be kidding. That holding call was blatantly obvious. He's at least 10 yards downfield, and he gets mugged. That was seriously one of the most obvious defensive holding calls in a good long while. As a receiver myself, that was holding in it's most easy to see form. Halftime adjustments ring a bell? You come in with a gameplan, which doesn't work in the first half. So, you change things up based on what the other team is doing. Belicheck is one of the best in the business at doing this.. Everybody in the league gets away with things, just about the same amount of times. The Pats are the best team, so it's obviously going to be more publicized when they do it.. And seriously. They've won 15 games this year since spygate. One would think that if filming other teams' was the reason for their success they wouldn't be undefeated and playing for a Super Bowl berth. |

I applaud you Loki...I agree with everything you said  EDIT: But Samari Rolle is an adult. He should of handled being called "boy" and focus on the game. That is his fault and not the refs. As for Bart Scott, he put those penalties on himself. |

I would just stop watching ESPN for the week because all I'll hear about is their lovefest towards the team and how they completed their pursuit of perfection Then I'll focus on college hoops as March Madness draws near. |

The ref probably said something to the effect of Stop acting like a boy rather than actually calling him a boy. The NFL doesn't want the Patriots to win anymore than you do. Honestly you're just jealous of all the success the Pats have had recently. If the script was flipped and the Giants were doing what the Pats were doing you would be doing exactly what I am doing right now, defending my favorite team. |

I dont think Loki is jealous. Some people just hate the Pats. We each have a team in sports that we hate for many reasons....i mean I hate the Patriots but I hate the Florida Gators even more. Hell, Loki should be proud of the G-Men since they're in the title game.
But I can see why cooljay is defending his team but there's no point in arguing about New England when they're bound to win the Superbowl. We can just hope they dont repeat in '09.

You missed the one post where I gave them credit for this year. They're good this year no doubt, I'm more pissed about what the likely got away with in the past. They're the best team no doubt, if anyone is to be considered the best other than them, I hope it's the team that beats them, not the Chargers. A very big part of me wants them there, to lose yes, but so that the Giants or Packers can legitimately be crowned the best in the league. |

well I'm just sick of everyone saying that the NFL wants the Pats to win. Thats bullshit if anything this year of all years the NFL would want the Pats to lose.
And although its not right if the Pats end up not winning the SB alot of people are going to say they were still the best in the NFL.
