I'm no NBA expert and I knew that Shaq should've stayed over Kobe from the start of Shaq wanting to be traded. Kobe is an awesome player, don't get me wrong, but he reminds me of Iverson right now. Huge deal, good player, but he won't win a championship due to his supporting cast. I think Kobe likes to hog the ball like A.I., but don't quote me on that. Lakers should've kept Shaq and built around him so they can still take advantage of his dominance while he's not too old.

Speaking of Rush, he reminds me of Michael Redd - lefty with a quick, quick release. Sometimes so quick that he doesn't see wide open teammates while he's firing a three over 3 defenders? Who really cares when he hits them? I watched this guy play at Missouri for three years, and I would have to say he's one of the top five pure shooters I've ever seen, college or pro. But yeah, he's got a hella quick release.

Redd's problem is that he's defensively inept, if I remember correctly.

jones aint too good and lakers need draft picks for the future so advantage LA Jones was a valuable backup... But if you want any 2nd round picks they should come from a team like Charlotte, a lottery bound team for a couple more years.

jones aint too good and lakers need draft picks for the future so advantage LA For the future? Doesn't this team need to win now, while Kobe is still a superstar and Phil Jackson isn't dead? Trading away a solid backup that can get you a few points a game is vital to making a strong playoff run. Just having the Kobe-Odom show is worthless, as if one of them is shutdown, it screws the whole system. If you have these solid bench players contributing, it eases the pressure. And what's a 2nd round pick going to do anything. The odds are that he's just going to end up being a bench player his whole career anyways, so why play for the future when you have the chance to win now. I think LA should be trading 2nd round picks for Jumaine Jones-esque players, not the other way around...

Charlotte isn't lottery-bound for the next couple years. They could make the playoffs as soon as next season.
