By now you've all heard and seen about the Bell/Bryant battle last night during game five. Bell took a couple shots to the face, and according to Bell, Phil Jackson yelled that "he effin deserved it." Bell then clotheslined Bryant, was ejected, and was handed a one-game suspension. Bell later called Bryant a "pompous, arrogant individual." Bell also called Bryant a hypocrite referring to Bryant's elbow to the face of Mike Miller earlier in the regular season.
Thoughts? I'll put my two cents in a little later.

As a Kobe fan, I think the Bell should be at least fined since Reggie Evans was fined $15,000 for his flagrant foul on Chris Kaman where he grabbed the guys *jewels*. Bell might be suspended because I think this incident was worser than what Ron Artest did to Manu Ginobili where he elbowed Manu in the head. I think the Suns are going to try to intimadte Kobe because he has a feud with Nash and now Raja? He has an X on his chest because if he doesnt play big, the Suns can win the series.

He doesnt have to lead the team in scoring. He is distrubting the ball more and his teammates have stepped up a lot. Walton is playing big, Kwame is doing fine, and Odom is consistant. Kobe is playing excellent basketball and is making plays for his team- not himself.

Bell is right -- Kobe is a pompous, arrogant prick. I laughed at Kobe's quote after the game about him liking it because that's how they play in the streets of Philly where he grew up...the dude grew up in Italy because his dad was a pro basketball player, and he didn't exactly grow up on the streets once he was in Philly. The guy's had it made throughout his life and tries to make it seem like he's had a rough life.

Whether he had it rough or not coming up, or that he is a pompous, arrogant prick the dude can ball.

And of course... Who cares about the attitude. If the dude can ball, then Sep's bandwagoning.

Well then you're no fan. Remember the Blazers? Damon Stoudamire, the weed smoker? Rasheed Wallace in his nasty days? Bonzi Wells? Bunch of good players with attitude problems, and they self imploded. Their attitudes started giving each other trouble and they had to break up the team before something massively bad happened. Now they were the worst team in the NBA.
You NEED to have a team full of character. You can't have 12 talented guys with attitude issues, or they won't coexist. For a sports fanatic, you sure aren't much.

Bell had to be suspended because the NBA already suspended Posey. I love Bryant's comments, calling someone, who is two years older, than him a boy.

Typical stupid ASM response.
It shouldn't matter how good you are. Fouls are fouls. Kobe fouling someone should be the same as anyone else fouling someone. Too bad it isn't that way.
We can't give stars the calls just because they're stars. This only leads to bigger egos.

I was talking about actually murdering Kobe, in case my point wasn't clear.

Im taking Bell's side on this one. Just because of Kobe getting away with everything. Ive seen many times that Kobe would get a foul called on him, then he would do the same thing on the other side of the court and not get called. He also dont get a call, complain, and then get the call later in the game.
I love Bell for clotheslining him.
